  1. The Electric Lime one actually looks kind of cool with the anodized blue wheels. Hate the wing though, as always. At least it's not "decal horsepower", the kid has done some real mechanical work to it. It is a genuine hot rod (to use the old skool vernacular.)

  3. Can you rotate a tinge more blue into that green, Nos?
  4. YES, most of the newest DCX interiors share a resemblance in style and the grain of the material. But what makes them "cheap"? Dare I say it is only because of their general "boxiness" and not for any real reason? "Cheap", to me, equals flimsy, or easily broken. I don't see evidence of those traits in current DCX interiors. I do see a sameness across the lineup that the new Sebring seems to be breaking from somewhat. All the carmakers go through interior "epochs". GM and Ford have their own, now, as always. Just because DCX's interiors, to a degree, resemble stacked boxes, doesn't necessessarily mean they'll rattle or fall apart. If it's the style you don't like, that's one thing, but boxiness doesn't always equal "cheap".
  5. hyper, I agree wholeheartedly about cladding and screaming chickens. I am much more a fan of the clean, stylish Pontiacs than the flamboyant, overdecorated ones. It's just that the Holden does not even whisper Pontiac to me.

    Ahhh...

Be careful, razor. Don't roast your cockles.
  7. ooooooooooo.... that's priddy.
  8. Exactly. A Pontiac is romantic and voluptuous. The Commodore is technical and cold. Solstice and G6 coupe are the latest proof that Pontiac still adheres to those ideals. The Commodore just does not fit. Hardware alone, as the recent GTO has proven, does not sell a car by itself. To inspire emotional connection... lust, a car must have some drama, some curves, ya know?

    A Good Idea. . .?

I felt like I was in slow motion this evening as I passed a second-gen Aurora on the shoulder, front end crumpled, female driver staring into space as she looked over her deployed airbag and into the taillights of the Isuzu Trooper she had rear ended. Red and blue flashing lights strobed the sky, the officer waving people by the scene. Nothing to see here, people. Keep moving. Nothing to see here...
  10. An Easy-Bake Oven?
  11. Disclosure is all that is needed. Let the consumer make the choice. Let the market decide. If people are concerned about it, they will stop choosing those menu items with unhealthy fats, and the restaurant will either move to a different cooking method, or go out of business. It's that simple. As adults, we are in charge of our own destiny.

razor: agreed. The change of seasons is always something to look forward to. Every one has its good points.

Dude, those V6 Cavaliers were the $h!. I still love the sound of an early 2.8 or 3.1. So snarly.

    Very Unexpected

    Congratulations, Mr. Jacket.
  16. Griffon, that makes me feel a bit better. I mean, I want RWD here from GM like now, but more differentiation is needed than just a grille, emblems, and red dash lights.

  18. While I'm very happy to have a RWD Pontiac sedan, I'm less than thrilled by the prospect of another rebadged Holden. Pontiac needs a car of their own, styled by Americans with a feel for Pontiac's very proud history. The Australian cars, while handsome, are too bland to wear the Pontiac name. This will be GTO mk II, I fear. I really hope I'm wrong. On the prospect of the smaller RWD architecture, that is fantastic news. Very promising.

    Number Five

I hope this turns out well, Fly. I'd still like to see your estimate then when you get a chance.
  21. Ewwwww... dick cheese, that's nasty...
  22. Yeah, I think it is just to antagonize those of us who have an affinity for the Vair.
  23. Kelso is so cute.

  25. An outright ban is overkill. I would support a disclosure law, however, for menus. This is not like a smoking ban. Smokers affect the entire room.
