  1. Oh look, a Consumer Reports devotee. Nice. Check your stash from '92 and get back to me. Is the Regal all red dots... or black? And how would you reconcile that with your own experience? I sometimes go off on a "super economy" binge, as you all have seen with my recent Yaris kick, but if I think about it long enough, I start to wonder if I'll be satisfied with something so drastically different. It's your call. Your choices aren't that far off from your CTS.
  2. ...thanks for asking.

    I see NOTHINGK!

  5. Cool, Fijian. Datsuns are decent cars. Good luck with it!
  6. avro, my launch sucked, I was nursing it for axle hop. I feel I could have gotten it into the high 16's with more practice. It's a 4X4, extended cab Z71 (so it's got the big tires) and 3.73 posi rear end.

I believe that's Colonel Klink, from Hogan's Heroes. He was very blustery, but bumbling and inept. Kinda paranoid.
  8. Chevy needs to build a two-door panel version of the HHR. One for the general public, and one with more utilitarian interior and wheels for small businesses.
  9. A customer dropped off his 2005 Corolla yesterday for collision work. The door to the center armrest/console wobbled like a weeble.
  10. 17.11 sec @ 81.2 mph at Maple Grove Raceway. Not exactly a Corvette, but I wouldn't call it a slug either, and that's with little old unprofessional me behind the wheel. That was best of 2 runs and I slept on green... .87 reaction time, ha.
  11. I hope to see a 2 door Avenger produced. From what I can tell, this car looks substantial, with its 5 lug wheels and mini-Charger looks.
  12. From all I've read, the hatchback will be known as Aveo5, but without the sedan's updates. It's all in the 2007 order guide that's been posted. I agree that the Forenza/Optra pales in comparison to the Cobalt. We sell both brands.
  13. Sixty8 Panther (Damn, Chicken, you're too fast! All I could see was a flurry of feathers and a bright red comb!)
  14. Xebra
  15. Chevrolet
  16. I tried to train my pet chicken to say "cash MONEY", but all it could do was say "buck buck buck". Stupid chicken. That parrot is not stupid.
  17. That looks like a nice trip, Sixty8. Tell us again, when are you picking up a li'l hustler?
  18. We have an '07 Avalanche and we have an '07 Suburban. Both are sweet. I looked inside the Avalanche this evening and it is a stunner. The exterior is buttoned-down and well-tailored. Very business-like.

Of course that wasn't directed at you, Chicken. The frat boy it was directed toward knows who I was talking to. He's right about walking and running though, they are great ways to work out. But you have to go uphill, both ways, otherwise there's not much of a burn. And you have to step lively. After you're done, you feel like a million bucks. Drink a big glass of water beforehand, and another after.

God I cannot stand you, boy. At least the representation you present of yourself here. Your tone is so goddamned pompous it's unbelievable.
  22. Very cool, Nos. I'm proud of you!
  23. Producing a platform with too many targets dilutes its effectiveness. It wouldn't work for an Impala to be built on the Y-body.
  24. Hmmm... hey, I've been thinking. Since the Kappa platform is such a waste of money, I'd like to hear the naysayers' view on the other car mentioned at the top of this thread, Corvette. WHY haven't we heard about that blatant waste of money? I mean, that platform only supports two cars, Corvette and XLR. It's totally inflexible, and very narrowly focused. GM is STUPID for producing such a dedicated platform. I say GM should immediately stop Corvette and XLR production and set its sights on the finest car on the market today... the Toyota Camry. You guys are soo logical, and I'm sooo glad you're not running the world's number 1 automaker.
