Oh man, good luck to you and I hope you enjoy your new position.

Well I've been a GM Lifer and I pick on them because I want them to be the best, like they were in the past according to market share, and when they are not, as perceived by me, then they will get chewed out royally.

DAMN fine looking machine, even the WT looks fantastic, so retro-modern. Really masterful incorporation of mid-60's Chevrolet truck DNA, and those smoooooth sides... WOW! I love all the trims... except for the High Country, which I find a bit too Mr. Roboto. The WT, Custom, LT and LTZ though... I am in love here. A regular cab Custom gas is gonna be soooo sexy!

So it's almost, but not quite a 460 cubic incher. Fabulous. Of course it will be tres useful in a truck like this. So heartwarming to see.- 52 replies

Problem is they will go unused. Hello? -
2019 GMC Terrain SLT AWD 2.0t in Sedona with Black Package. What do you guys think of this FWD-biased lease appliance?

So tired of countering the insanity of every single post that gushes about EVs. Every single thread. The Kona is an interesting little CUV in Limited and Ultimate guise... too bad the dual clutch transmission overheats under the stress of moderately deep snow. Automatic disqualification for an AWD car, I'd think. Tucson had some recent, surgical updates that will keep it fresh for a year or so and they had the good sense to drop the DCT. I like it in Sport trim. I see them up close every day at work. An N version could be sweet if it is backed by a non-DCT transmission. -
Still love VW's. Wish TDi and 2-door Golfs were still sold here. I see where Germans are back to buying more diesel powered vehicles. Proud to be of German decent when I read that fact.

As far as pony cars go, Dodge has the firmest grasp on what customers want from the genre. I love the Mustang also, and find its sales decline disconcerting. The Camaro, with all its excellence in power and chassis engineering, comes across as antiseptic and a bit unfriendly. I would own a Challenger R/T first, a Mustang GT second, and a Camaro SS third... seems to be the general consensus in the sales race these days as well.

I keep searching, but I have not found a replacement for my Jeep. It is a perfect size. It has no power so I cannot get myself in trouble. It goes well in inclement weather. It has a stick. It is comfortable. It gets decent mileage for my commute. AND it is green. Turning over 37k miles soon. I've paid down on it a good bit, but I am always concerned about resale with any of my vehicles due to the number of miles I accumulate. So still I search. Silverado is too big and expensive, no regular cab shortbed available. Colorado has nothing substantively new since its resurrection. Passport is Asian in decent, even if it is as American as a Honda can get. Ram Classic is neat, and available in regular cab shortbed, but it is old. F-150 is too big for garage and is made of beer cans. Ranger is cool, leary of fuel mileage with EB 4. Blazer is too much money for what it is in the trim level I'd settle for. Edge is nicer than Blazer, really. Maybe the 2020 Trax/Granite/Encore will be a lively competitor. Keenly innerested in passing judgment on them. I wonder what is coming to Chicago? Is anyone donning their Kevlar vest and hitting the show? Do we have a preview, or is everything a secret?

I've never been to Canada, eh. Closest I've been is Port Huron, Michigan. Pretty darn close, but no cigar.

2019 Honda Passport Sport AWD in Modern Steel with roof rack and blue graphics package: $34,890.00. Decent as heck!

...riiiight Local dealer has at least 4 Passports in, including an entry-level AWD Sport in blue for $34k. Very decent vehicle v. the competition for the price. Greenhouse seems a little high at first, but then I remember we are used to gunslit windows in everything nowadays... refreshing to be able to SEE OUT.

Forty-six degrees out today, snow's a-melting. Feels like seventy-two after many frigid days. Took a walk. Heard Tears For Fears' "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" blaring from the open windows of a clapped out, white, winter-grimy first-gen Versa sedan. I normally wouldn't post about first-gen Versa sedans, but

Chevrolet Camaro eCOPO is A 700 HP Electric Drag Car
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in S.E.M.A
e-COPO is generic BS. May as well do away with the quaint idear of brands and just label all of them "GM". There is just no soul to an electric car, no heartbeat of America. Same same same, lame. You've never been to a quarter mile track, I can tell. So far removed from what has made drag racing a popular passtime. Neutered? -
The BRZ/86 has a Subaru boxer engine.

Every time Toyota tries to shed its vanilla image, it fails with very few exceptions. The brand new RAV4 is getting tepid (at best) reviews everywhere I look... it is being lambasted for not being nice to drive, noisy engine... etc. etc. Internet ppl like to make fun of Chevy pickups with square wheelwells, and Jeeps with trapezoidal wheelwells... but the new Rav4 has like ZERO curved lines on it. If any vehicle needs square wheels to make it look cohesive, the new RAV is it. The Corolla Hatchback is the best looking Toyota out right now, along with the 86... which I deem a Subaru because of its boxer engine. The new Corolla sedan seems to have lost some weirdness and gained some grace in its look. The Yaris sedan is saved by its clean Mazda sheetmetal, ugly mug notwithstanding. The Highlander is not too bad I guess. The Tacoma has weird packaging issues, and a non-competitive engine/trans. Tundra is a time capsule. Avalon/Camry have alien front ends. 2019 Prius has lost some of its otherworldy details, is improved. Overall, Toyotas are just not appealing to me.
