  1. The Forte LX I just helped my mom get into, when parked next to (and I am not happy to say this) a Chevrolet Cruze LS, is a nicer, more decent car for the money. And the dash feels nice with the scallop design.
  2. I just realized something yuge and even more precarious for the industry we all love. The electric car mentality is the very same as the cell phone mentality. Now let me ask you, good citizens, is this really what you want? To Apple-ize cars? Are we going to camp out and wait for the release of v.2, v.3 of a CAR? The implications blow my tiny little mind.
  3. Would love to have one in a regular cab TDi 4X4 with stick. Does that put me in a small group of the small group? :/
  4. It was a few years ago, but I read that the Suburban buyer has generally the highest income of any GM vehicle owner.
  5. Shouters have sticky capslock buttons. Olds if I weren't deeply in lurve with you I would ignore you. However I do admit I haven't read every word of War & Peace. Same
  6. From a different perspective, electric vehicles, per the article, can be seen as throwaways. First off they're leased, then dumped into a market where they have no value. From a financial point of view, they are a much worse investment than conventional vehicles, which can effortlessly be kept in service by subsequent owners, this adds intrinsic value that is impossible to deny.
  7. Well ya know, as I said in my first comment, it pains me to look forward to bobo's annual wrap-up, only to see his opening paragraph, which is opinion, not fact, plus, and I will say it again, it goes against site rules which have been posted for years here. There are reasons why forums such as this normally shy away from politics and religion, and it is a good idea for Drew to post those rules... "let's keep C&G free from politics". But there has to be a consistent and evenhanded upholding of the stated rules or else chaos breaks out and trust erodes. Drew could have edited bobo's paragraph out. The rest of the post could have stood firmly on its own as a happy C&G tradition shared by all members. But he chose to let it stand instead of applying HIS OWN forum rules in a considered manner. For those that don't understand my motivation or question my adherence and contributions to this forum over the last 14 years, even through the egregious error of reporting that the Saturn Outlook had been cancelled at the eleventh hour, please bite it. Thanks!
  8. Hilarious I'm the one in the wrong. Drew needs to take down the outdated "rules" he has stuck up there if they mean nothing. I don't post political things in here. Plus I am so tired of scrolling for DAYS past a 15,000 word oldshurst442 post. It is like he's always having heavy flow days. OMG. And he/she's not "losing his mind"? LOL. It's so easy. Really Moltar? REALLY?
  9. The rules were broken. Hence the downvote. Then to make matters worse, the site owner only selectively enforces his own rules as stated for all of us to see. I do not give a rat's ass what your political views are, but they should be kept out of here except in the section dedicated to the subject. I did not start this fight, but I am damned sure not going to let it go unanswered.
  10. Well I used to look forward to this each year, but I didn't bother reading past the unnecessary, inflammatory, untrue first paragraph.
  11. Whoever said it was a good idea to do away with the crosshair grille should be told to clean out their desk.
  12. That snow looks fun. We're just froze with a thin coating on the ground. Could use some old fashioned global warming in these parts.
  13. I'm here for you
  14. Your tie's crooked.
  15. Fake news
  16. *Wildebeest is still thrashing around in the pond*
  17. A Ford F-150 will not fit in my garage. Too tall. A ZR2 is also too tall, and WAY out of my price range. I wish Chevy sold the diesel in the non-ZR2 extended cab, you can get it in the ZR2 extended. I wonder if the new Ranger will be available with diesel in an extended cab. The 2.7 will undoubtedly be less expensive though, and will likely mop the floor with the 3.6 Colorado. I'd love to see a regular cab Ranger too.
