  2. When is Dodge bringing theirs out?
  3. Well thanks, reg. I appreciate the thought. I think it would have given Suzuki USA a swift kick in the pants, sales-wise.
  4. I have seen so many complaints over at owner reviews on Edmunds about GM's 32 mpg claim for the FWD Equinox/Terrain... it's like nobody is getting that figure in the real world. Intentionally misleading customers with erroneous fuel mileage ratings, as Hyundai/Kia appear to have done, should be investigated... but if the case is won, it will open a can of worms, I'm afraid. It will put some sort of burden of proof on other car makers.
  5. Doesn't anyone make a replacement carb for these troublesome years?
  6. DAMN, that's a driveway! But back on the subject of the thread... the house is done in correct colors for the style, imo, it is a cohesive package accurately reflecting the period in which it was originally built. I believe it is a Prairie/Arts & Crafts style home, and to re-do it in the original style is doing it justice, imo.
  7. Only thing I can say on the vid I posted, Mr. dfelt, is to click on the poster's name and see if he has any other vids on YouTube that deal with the Rusty Bird. Also, the vid I posted has nothing to do with Jacket's project.
  8. Oh man, check out that spunky little white (?) Swift...
  9. whoa on that last one... talk about being stuck in a vacuum! and the kittycat playing/being attacked by lasers...
  10. If I end up having to get rid of my Patriot, with the way things are now, it will be for something cheap and old, like an '02-'03 S-10.
  11. Well, a salt bath also kills the body with future corrosion problems. Electrical problems can go all the way down the line following the harnesses, like a cheap set of Xmas lights when a single bulb burns out. And carpets, seats... just omg. Insurance companies have guidelines on water depth in relation to the dashboard and fresh/salt water immersion. And I think Olds may have been talking about my gentle jab at highline golf cart maker Fisker when we were discussing insurance settlements to OEMs, post-flood. I can't be sure though.
  12. Aww... not good. Goes contrary to what the engineers say in the vids.
  13. Brand new-style Range Rover in white with Manufacturer plates tooling around out in the sticks near my brother's new house.
  14. I always liked these. The 2013 updates look good, the front end is clean. The color is interesting. I almost bought one of these a few times in the past, with manual transmission.
  15. Salt water is an absolute killer. It would be an electrical nightmare, at the very least.

  18. Um well it's just something I've noticed while traveling. There'll be a dip in the road, and immediately after that dip, there will be a dark spot from oil being flicked off of undercarriages by the force of said dip. One might also see scrape marks in the road from chassis bottoming. One might see this at raised railroad crossings and the like. People tend to not realize how severe the bump is, so they don't slow down, then end up bottoming out, scraping bottom. If there is an oil leak or residual oil from an oil change, a drip of oil might appear, and over time, with so many travelers, the scrapes and oil spots accumulate. Long story short. Now I'm not sure where I was going with this, I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed it.

  21. "You know what? I never have seen a new Regal with a cloth top or other Vogue style mods. Ever. I'm glad, because I already have seen a decked out XTS, actually 2 different ones with stuff on them." Well, ya know, you can be the first...
  22. Bed is still usable, Andrew. And be real, how many of those bolted-in toolboxes, full of tools, are ever removed? Stuff just gets stacked on top of the toolbox.
  23. Whoa dude! That Escalade was purchased at my local Cadillac dealer... Kelly Cadillac in Lancaster! That is a wicked trim package.
  24. OK... a giant battery is not a tank, and if this were a full electric, I guarantee you the batteries would be at least as giant as that tank. Batteries consist of rare metals that have to be mined and shipped from Timbuktu. There are safety concerns. Then when they are dead, they have to be handled from there. The tank is a tank, seems simple enough. Dodgefan... what can a Prius tow? This truck is still perfectly useful for its intended purpose. Proponents of electrified vehicles cannot have it both ways. This can get us closer to energy independence without compromising the vehicles we want. No need for CAFE laws with a full CNG vehicle. This is a step toward full CNG and it can be much easier done than transforming a 3/4 ton pickup truck to comply with CAFE laws... and it is better than electrification. Have any of you seen the size of some of these toolboxes in pickup trucks? This is about the size of some toolboxes people mount in their trucks.
