A sweet, pale yellow, retro-style, would be much more palatable than the sour, bright yellows of recent years. I cannot wait to see this car in Aqua Blue and Techno Gray.

Certain aspects of it remind me of a Lotus Elan. It does look odd in profile. I do like some parts of it, though. Honda needs to revisit their old slogan, "Keep it Simple".

Agreed. If she has the money and decides to spend it on something new instead of fixing a 100k mile vehicle, I support that. If she decides to fix it, that's fine too. I know what I'd do.

She refused to stop at the Ford or Chevy dealer, commenting that she thinks the Equinox interior is cheesy. I didn't mention the HHR (which I really like myself). The only Ford she likes right now is the Edge, but it is too expensive. Not sure why she doesn't like the Escape, I think it's a nice vehicle. She walked right by the Tribute at the Mazda dealer to look at the 3 hatch. She loves to drive stick, but could go with automatic, she's not hung up on transmission type. She walked by the Sportwagen to drool over the Tiguan. She was hot and heavy for a Torrent a few months ago... but we actually forgot to check them out the other night. SAAB is too expensive for her. The Subaru dealership is on the same lot as Mitsu, but we didn't check any of them out, either. Harley, I agree. Plus, I don't want to be blamed if the person ends up not liking their new vehicle after I recommended it. I recommended the Cobalt to my mom, and almost every time I ride in it with her, she complains. Blah blah blah.

The backlighting on the interior is kickass! The Chevy Camaro mini-site, however, especially the "Camaro colors" page, is WORTHLESS. They have pictures of the concept up there, photoshopped into very poor representations of the production colors. AND... there's no brown like we were shown when the colors were first posted here. Oh well, I am also interested in the Cyber Gray and the Aqua Blue, if I could see them in a real photo, not some halfhearted photoshop.

Actually, I need to say something: of the cars, she liked the Kiss my Asstra, of ALL the vehicles we looked at, the new Liberty with the canvas top was her absolute fave... that's what she'd get, imo, if gasoline weren't so oppressive these days. That tells me she wouldn't be happy for long if she got into a car. This gas price thing is not fair, by a long shot. And I will never believe it is real, either... it is based on nothing REAL.

I'd go with some sort of tan or gold on the racing stripes, to coordinate with the interior (like a Hurst car). Great looking pony, sir!

OK, I'll let her know, Borger. She doesn't like the fact she couldn't see the front end of the Vibe from the driver's seat (which would be the same in a Matrix), so I guess it's off to VW for a Tiguan or Rabbit.

Dagnabit, red and yellow are prolly my two least favourite colors on a car, and silver looks a bit washed out. Do we really have to wait until 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon to see it in the whole spectrum of living color?

Thanks, Cort. She has been threatening to trade the Cobalt in, and it has only intensified now that she's been hit. She has never liked this car, partly (she says) because it is hard for her to get in and out of, and because it has no power options, no keyless entry, no cubbies for storing stuff... etc. etc. etc. The only warranty issues she's had with it were the door trim problem, and the Chevy dealer put like 3 trim panels on the driver's door before they got one that would stay intact. She (rather insanely) misses her (somewhat troublesome) Toyota Echo and entertains thoughts of a Yaris. Hopefully when she gets it back from us after the repair, this clamor will die down.
