  1. The N-body Skylark wasn't as bad after the final MCE, in and out.
  2. I think I've just been stung. Damn, that's a clean little red Olds, Mr. Bee. You and Ted will be fast friends. Cool!
  3. Why on earth would I want my car to recognize road signs? Utterly ridiculous.
  4. Pontiac found its way starting with the 1959 WideTrack concept, but it survived up until then with a considerably less exciting image. I won't believe Pontiac has lost its performance image within GM until I see it for myself. With the rise of "corporate" engines at GM, Pontiac hasn't had much unique under the hood since 1981 anyway. It's been about the visual differences since then, for the most part. There is no good reason to kill Pontiac, if they are allowed to keep their visual identity, which is essential.

LOVE your 6:15 post in this thread, Paulie.
  6. Sell Hummer. Shut down Saturn, sell SAAB. GME platforms can still be sold here successfully, under Pontiac sheetmetal.

  9. We need to get some Hunter Orange ammo vests made up with the C&G logo so we can ID each other.
  10. Crossing guard, standing in the middle of the street, directing traffic, allowing ppl to cross on their way to work this morning. HE WAS ON HIS CELL PHONE!!! Chick, driving her multi-hued, old-ass Accent, solid on the cell phone in front of me as we turned into a convenience store this a.m. She walked in ahead of me, on the cell phone. She hung up to pay... then immediately got back on the cell phone. I left ahead of her, she came out of the store, on her cell phone, juggled her purchases as she unlocked her Hyundai, then, without taking the phone away from her ear the whole time, started her car and left the parking lot. Maybe the Accent was multi-hued for a reason.

Oh it's always present, baby, just straining to break free of that zipper. :AH-HA_wink:
  12. Awesome, in a frightening way.

Well at least your macaroni hasn't shown itself in public lately, HAS IT?
  14. Well your name change is going to take some getting used to, but glad to hear everything came off without a hitch, Borgerina.
  15. z, if you want a GM fender on your car, why not ask for it? They might make you pay the difference between that and the CAPA fender, but it would be worth (to me) to have genuine GM parts.
  16. How about '09 Cobalts?
  17. I think I'm coming out on Saturday, if the weather's conducive. My truck's all back together. Camino, I still have your phone # here somewhere. How about if we all pick an entry gate number to meet at? I only have the Onstar phone in the truck, no cell, so I could communicate that way until I'm parked, at least. I can PM that number if anyone wants it.
  18. z, that's disgusting! You keep your car so clean and looking good, and now this. I'm sorry to hear. Hopefully, the gecko does a good job for you. Looking at your door, it looks borderline on repairability, it might need a new door shell, as opposed to repair, with that damage at the front. Let us know what the estimate calls for.
  19. At one time I owned a couple of vehicles that, taken as a pair, could be seen as ironic: '92 Golf water-cooled VW, and '65 Corvair air-cooled Chevy.
  20. Duh. ...and thanks.
  21. It certainly has lost that friendly Chevy compact car face, a Chevrolet tradition since... oh wow... 1960 Corvair? ChevyII/Nova/Vega/chrome bumper Monza/original Cavalier/Cobalt... all friendly faces.
  22. ha ha HAH... I just now realized the"boldest" in my shiny new title refers to my font... not my attitude.
  23. 2 Jetta Sportwagens at the dealership, one red 2.5/auto with hugh jass sunroof for $24xxx, other a black 2.5/5 speed with hardly any options, around $20,999. Spiffy.

    Hey Daddy!

Always had good meals at Romano's. Except for today, Father's Day. The food took forever to arrive at the table, and when it did... mine was cold and dry, Dad's was cold, future sister-in-law's was wrong, and bro's had, like, no sauce. Stepmom had the only good meal. Bleh. Just a bunch of hot servers I had to keep my eyes off of. Sigh.
