  1. I like the woodgrain trim in a Pontiac, it fits with the warm, romantic aspects of Pontiac that I like. If I were buying one, I'd order the woodgrain in a black interior, if possible. I notice at the website it seems to be a stand-alone no-cost option. That pearl white GT is a sharp looking car, Mr. cruiser. Those 18" rims are the best looking rims you can get on a G6, imo, and I would order mine with those, no question. The standard GT 17's look tiny under the car.
  2. Futura
  3. I once posted pics here of an '87 Cavalier "Z24" wagon that a local Honda dealership Parts Manager built. He still uses it as his daily driver, and it is clean as ever in bright blue. I saw him in it the other day, little V6 burbling beautifully as he let off the gas.
  4. Ha, Borger, you so FUNNY! (looking). Moltie, that's a very cool action shot of that old Ford. I imagine with the compact dimensions of most European countries, those old cars are all recycled by now. I'm glad I live in a big country, although some would like us to live as though we're in Europe. A Smart-based pickup truck ain't gonna cut it on a Montana ranch. I'd love to visit the UK, I have a single female cousin who spends her money on European vacations instead of new vehicles every couple of years like I do, and she's always asking me to go. Maybe if I bite the bullet and buy a small car next time, I can save money toward that goal.
  5. Well, the deal is sealed: they're furnishing the entire house in Ikea.
  6. A manual transmission cannot help but make the drive more engaging. If I could have ordered my Sierra with a manual, I would have. Most of the vehicles I've owned have been manuals by choice. It took me a while not to search with my left foot for a third pedal when I got my current vehicle, ha. Pontiac should offer a manual transmission in every vehicle they sell, to enhance their image and offer the customer something fun and different. A G6 GT coupe with optional 2.0L turbo Ecotec and manual transmission would be a wicked fun combo (and dare I say much more appealing to Americans than her sister 9-3 with a similar powertrain). A G5 GXP similar to the Cobalt SS is a no-brainer. 2.4L manual G6 sedan would enhance the car's rep from the bottom up. Maximum efficiency, maximum control, maximum fun. The G8 needs a manual in all three levels of trim, not just the GXP. By only offering it in the most expensive model, it makes GM look old-school, forcing customers who want the positive attributes of a manual into the highest-priced trim level. That is not customer-friendly, imo, and GM needs to become as customer-friendly as possible, more now than ever.
  7. I wonder what the purpose of that rig was?
  8. I guess the bumpers were bolted on at the dealership as part of PDI in those days. Interesting!
  9. Excellent pics, mouse. Got any more?
  10. Why, because it says "Borgergayed"?
  11. SSDD
  12. Interesting pictures, Mr. Dart. Got any mo?
  13. you are? Iperson
  14. Well I like a lot of different kinds of fish, but I sense there'd be a bit of resistance from both sides if I try to sample these ones. Nick, OMG, you work with Paula Abdul? Anyway, I've seen a lot of different vehicles over there, but NO FORESTERS yet. Perhaps that means I am wrong about their nationality? Nah, I think it just means they have a bunch of friends and family helping them work on the house. They're due to move in officially around July 15.
  15. Borger is always stirring the pot. Oh well, interesting pics so far.
  16. Well cappy, go for it. Give us a Reader's Digest version if you want.
  17. Something spells funny in here. Can anyone else spell that? :AH-HA_wink:
  18. White six-cylinder G8, looking fresh. Orange Challenger SRT-8, looking hot.
  19. Oh my. The folks who had the Yaris and xB moved out of the other half of the duplex and two chicks are moving in. My first clue was the other evening, I was mowing and they were on their deck. One ordinary, the other a bit of a stand-out with a do-rag and football jersey (but not overly butch). Then this evening, the one girl's dad was there doing some carpentry and he mentioned in passing that there will be two dogs, one belonging to his daughter, the other to "her girlfriend". WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THIS??? :AH-HA_wink:
  20. Well if you're not ordering any, you can be assured you'll not sell any.
  21. Put a claim in to your insurance. Tell them you don't know where you want it fixed. Let them send someone out to write the estimate and pay you. Buy a fender and have it painted (and any other parts you need). If I remember correctly, you can get the grille trim piece separately, is that the only part of the grille that's broken? You can fix it yourself when you have the time, and save the money for the labor on the insurance check. The insurance owes you for the damage, whether you have it fixed or not, they don't care. One complication though is if you are still paying the truck off, if so, they may need to issue the check to you and your bank.
  22. Yeah, I've driven my mom's '05 base Cobalt sedan automatic on several occasions, 4-hour round trip, and I find it to be a comfortable, quiet little car.
  23. Interesting specimen. A Brougham, but with so many sporty options, like the steering wheel, t-tops, Super Stock wheels, etc. I didn't know silver was a color choice for the landau top. Very interesting, indeed.
  24. It's missing a couple of teef, but it's still cool. I still see these from time to time around here... ppl just refuse to get rid of them.
