  1. You know, as long as you don't spray directly into the air intake pipe, a high-pressure washer will clean that up nice. Just spray it down with de-greaser first, let it set a few minutes, then use the high-pressure spray.
  2. Please feel free to spend your remaining days in Weybridge. Thanks.
  3. We ripped on Chrysler for making their interiors all echo each other, but it appears GM is doing the same. The spyshots aren't exactly bad looking, but they appear to be very similar to the other newest GM products.
  4. Kris, I am wondering the same thing. Anyway, it's a birthday thread, so Happy Birthday, whoever your are!
  5. Nothing too major, based on the photos. The door jamb sticker is missing from the driver's door, and the bolts are painted over that hold the latch in, meaning to me that door has been replaced with a used door (and the bodyshop just painted over the bolts), notice the other doors still have black bolts at the door latches. Is that clearcoat I see peeling a bit from the beltline area of the rear driver's side door? It may have either been repaired or at least had the paint blended with the front door replacement. This would lead me to look at the driver's side fender for signs of replacement, repair, or, at least, paint blending. Again, if the repairs were done correctly it shouldn't be a problem for you, nor should it lessen your enjoyment of the Olds. Keep us up to speed with your progress, sir!
  6. Good pictures, Blackviper 8891.

  8. Yikes, the Metaphor Edition...
  9. Where in the heck have you been, schuby? And thanks for the photos! There's an awful lot of badass in those pics.
  10. Well I'll be goshdarned. Happy Birthday, Polish This!

Hey Cremazie, yeah, I guess that's one less step you have to take to remove your pants, ha, kidding.
  12. The pictures give clues, but I hope you have fun with her. I'm glad your search is over, Ted.
  13. Is there some difference in structure between the 3- and 5-door Aveo? Why isn't the 3-door sold here? A 3-door G3 would suit Pontiac a tiny bit better than the 5-door, and it would ensure uniqueness for the arrowhead division. Sell the 5-door at Chevy and the 3-door at Pontiac, similar to the Cobalt/G5 scenario.
  14. Those who cannot separate RWD from some silly redneck stigma need look no further than a BMW or Mercedes or Infiniti or Rolls-Royce or Bentley or Porsche showroom... all exclusively RWD/AWD lineups. Aspirational brands. Uncompromising brands. Brands to emulate, at least at the upper end of your lineup. For GM to give up wholesale on RWD means they give up on being a contender for customers who expect as little compromise as possible. RWD Caprice, G8, Lucerne and DTS should be at the top of their respective model lineups. It's only right.
  15. Is this new secret car Delta II-based? If so... how could it not overlap like crazy with the Cobalt/G5/Asstra? Will it be a small, upscale car? I'm thinking it has to be the same size, but higher-priced than the current domestic Deltas, with the current cars slowly disappearing from the market... GM's way of shoving a high-priced small car into the market. Well, if that is the case, it better be worth it. I would consider a Pontiac version of this car, if it has enough Pontiac DNA to satisfy me... sheetmetal, interior and wheels, suspension tuning, aftermarket support... I am not sad atall to hear of Hummer's possible demise. Peripherals on the block, that's what I like to hear, and it makes much more sense... no more of this talk of core brands dying.

Only thing I see "excessive" is the belt. :AH-HA_wink:
  17. No Borger, I hit a red 1990 Jetta, in very good condition. Viper's is a 1998. Where'd you get that idear from, Chris Doane?
  18. I really, really hope a Pontiac version of this will not be a styling clone of the Chevrolet.
  19. There's a lot of uncertainty coming. If the G3 helps keep the lights on at Pontiac dealerships... I will not complain as loud as I could. At least until the dust settles. I want Pontiac to survive the coming darkness.

Does anyone have any lawn pics to share? :AH-HA_wink:
  21. In other news, President Bush today declared this week "National Hold In Your Farts Week". We will save the planet, dammit, even if it kills us!
  22. Big-ass Ram Cummins crewcab 4X4 longbed, white, in my driveway. Two guys are installing my new door that got broken out in... NOVEMBER. It's been a long time coming.
  23. A course was charted in the beginning with the S-series and unique customer care. That has all vanished, making Saturn just another variation on other GM cars. For that reason, Saturn sucks. Opels didn't catch on in the decades they were sold here earlier, what makes GM think they will catch on now? Saturn has become Opel USA v.2, I see no reason to celebrate the decimation of the original Saturn image before it was neglected, and then thrown out, by GM management.
  24. Happy Birthday RJB, I hope you read this.
  25. You know Steven Hawking has one of these on order. Cool.
