  1. Hmm... interesting. It does have the look of an Italian design house.
  2. I saw the Dan Gurney SCCA Cougar on a vintage ramp truck at Lime Rock once - just something cool about that matched set...
  3. That gave me a good chuckle to start my day!
  4. This. Arkus is an escape-prone dog, and I'm right there after him when he does escape. He is a big, friendly, oaf and not nasty to other dogs or people (except Zora). But I am in a panic until I get him back without any damage done to himself or anything else. I just don't understand why anyone would stand idly by while their dog behaves like that.
  5. I've always been fascinated by these cars - if I had money to burn...
  6. This is very, very cool ,Chris. I wish you all the best and early success. A pilot's license has been on my "life list" for many years. At one point, I was very close to liquidating everything I had to go learn to fly in Alaska. Things changed, and that dream became a road not taken for me. I'm glad to hear that you are taking such a road.
  7. Some good fiction could be written around this...
  8. Happy belated, my Corvette brother.
  9. I've started to spread the word.
  10. Worthless to the contractor segment, but small trucks do have their place. The problem with this configuration is that it has no appeal beyond a very limited utility application. A true compact pickup (Ranger replacement) would be a much better direction to go - it can encompass the market this little thing would have as well as the wider market.
  11. We should be neighbors....
  12. I love stuff like this.
  13. These cars used to be everywhere...
  14. I'm going to guess Ford Fairmont for thr first one. No idea on the second. Not a Blazer, nor a Bronco, I think the SUV could be Scout based.
  15. The color, the transmission choice, and the interior get a thumbs-up from me. Congrats Ocn, enjoy it.
  16. I wouldn't write-off cellulosic ethanol just yet, but this is a welcome option just the same.
  17. For $900, hell, why not?
  18. Same to you Balthy, I was sure that our dam was going to give way - but it held. Have to go start the cleanup now.
  19. No offense but, I always found these to be really ugly and oddly proportioned.
  20. They always were. Huge in NHRA pro-stock in their day. Always wanted to build one.
  21. Pics of local damage: http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/index
  22. Nearly 9" of rain, and 23 hours without power - but far less damage than expected. Things are ok here. We got lucky.
