  1. The 6.2L V8 makes 465, so imagine what a hairdryer would do... Interestingly enough, the Audi A8L W12 gets better EPA numbers than the S600, though that's more of an indictment against the size of each car. As Autoblog said, though, MB was giving up the V12 due to packaging, not FE.
  2. As far as MB goes, I've noticed that they've never offered their new 7AT with any of the V12 engines. Maybe this is a move to rectify that... ... though, if they still wanted to do 12 cylinders, I don't see why they couldn't investigate the W12 route.
  3. I've seen that video before. If you take out all the on-screen text, what does it sound like they're saying?
  4. So it's not just Maryland?
  5. That same Wednesday night, I got a speeding ticket (72ish in a 60) from a cop with its lights off that I didn't see until too late. I ain't cryin... even though I wasn't being unsafe either. I was passing a truck. My take: Put the cop away as quickly as possible. No sense prolonging stuff when you got somewhere to go.
  6. Yeah, once the Maxima took the Infiniti interior, it became time for Infiniti to step theirs up.
  7. As I type this, Amy and I are loading up to head down to VA to spend Thanksgiving Day with my family, then to another part of VA to spend time with hers.
  8. Yeah, that's what Price Is Right announcer Rod Roddy succumbed to. Seems strange, considering the differences in organs. I have read actual studies that women who perform fellatio are less likely to suffer from pre-eclampsia though.
  9. Sweetness. I still wish I had the money to get one... and the ability to drive a manual...
  10. Fair deal on the BMW styling, especially iDrive and the Bangle influence (although it still gets copied by Asians, but that's for another thread). The 300C? You mean the *pushrod* Hemi 300C? Or the *pushrod* Hemi 300C SRT8? (substitute in Charger R/T and Charger SRT8 where applicable) BTW, the G8 in all its powertrains goes against the Chrysler LX sedans... so a lower-volume competitor is already there.
  11. smk4565: With cars, people who want to spend more than the average amount of money often spend it on luxury, performance, or both. Those who want BMW, MB, Audi, Ferrari, or Lamborghini pay for luxury and performance, and most often get it. After paying a lot more. Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maybach, Lexus or Lincoln? Luxury much more than performance. No one expects the GS to be a track car. Pontiac? Paying for performance. No one expects the Pontiac G8 to be soft and cushy... just mean and go-fast. I don't know why you expect more out of Pontiac when their mission is not to have top- or even middle-tier luxury. It hasn't been for years, if ever. I have to agree with everyone else here... you either refuse to get it, or you're a troll who hopes to proselytize any of us here. And it's not gonna work. EDIT: Just read that you don't like BMWs. Have you driven one? Or the G8?
  12. smk4565... what a maroon... Anyway... seriously? This car is for real. I'm just sad I can't get one new...
  13. Wouldn't that be the other way around? Burning off the calories and then putting them back?

    The Haircut

    Haircuts are overrated.
  15. Oh yeah... I also hung around my dad a lot as he did stuff like oil changes and all that on his old Subaru as well as my mom's. Also, watching him open up the carburetor to change air filters. That was my favorite.
  16. Regular hand-tossed crust... ... extra cheese, pepperoni, ground beef (NOT sausage), bacon. Pineapple if I don't want my wife to take a slice.
  17. I wonder how a Legacy 2.5GT spec.B would run against it. BTW, I still go for the G8.
  18. Wait... so it wasn't Iraq and North Korea? I keed, I keed.
  19. My only questions are... 1) Was that intentional? 2) Why did he keep revving the engine while on top of the cruiser? Beyond that...
  20. My mom bought me Matchbox cars when I was a baby, all the way up through kindergarten. I remember my favorite... a silver Volvo 760 GLE. Still have it.
  21. I know at the very least that Toyota releases the numbers of their US-build and foreign-built vehicles each month. Check the Sales Ticker section of the forums to see.
  22. 72.73%. Government never was my strong suit.
