  1. Seeing as how there are no Japanese ad agencies in the States (that I know of), your question is spurious at best.
  2. Enjoying it profusely. One mechanical thing though: I can't engage the parking brake. I think there's something wrong with the cable somewhere, but I haven't had the time (or the good weather) to go look at it.
  3. Hard to say with him...

    Pictures!

LOL, I just found out FOG's younger than me. (by a few months)
  5. You realize gm4life owns 2 Pontiacs, right? Everything else you said seems like decent advice though. I was considering the same car (Seville) for a moment.
  6. Beside the point, that's what the list is. Seriously, though, the point is that while lawmakers from these states have sided against supporting the Detroit companies, they've had no problems with lining the red carpet for Asian and German companies with big bucks.
  7. Y'know, I've seen a few ads from GM where they promote one of their cars (including the G8 GT), and the tagline is... "From GM. Surprised?" I kinda like them. The Honda and Nissan ads are a bit much though... especially the Honda.
  8. 6.2L and 6A > 5.3L and 4A. The response is overwhelming.
  9. Great blog entry, Börger. Good to hear that you're healthy... one of the things we all need to be thankful for considering the state that the world is in. Since you asked, I'm winding down my semester. Turned in a translation assignment, a take-home exam, updated my students' grades, and have to finish an 8-page paper by noon tomorrow. So, you know, nothing crucial.
  10. Probably being one of the advocates of GM getting off its butt and offering touchscreen nav in a sedan lower than Buick.
  11. HHR SS a few days back.
  12. Darn eco-friendliness... I just thought about it... this will be my first winter EVER with FWD and traction control. I won't have to drive as much though.
  13. What's with all the thread resurrections these days? It's like buying used instead of new. We have a fake one here just 'cause it's not worth the hassle putting a real one in the apt. When we move into a house though, and we get hardwood floors in some parts... there ya go.

    sentenced

I caught the live sentencing on SportsCenter. I only cared to see how many years he would get... now it's back to life as usual. I also found out he was almost 62.
  15. I actually have some kind of "spring forest" spray. BTW, when I was still young and first driving the Pathfinder, my mom put an air freshener in my car that smelled like strawberries. I took it out. Later on, she put one in that smelled like jasmine. I took it out.
  16. Of the Japanese Big 3, Nissan has by far the most enjoyable cars (of those I've driven). Do we compare the CTS to the G or the M? It's a muddled line by all parties.
  17. Interesting how VW and Audi report separately...
  18. That would make sense about the V8TT... I just hadn't seen anything confirmed or official yet. (BTW, that would be the 7-Series engine... chipped.) The E63 bases at $88K, not that much more than the M5 @ $85K. Not a good enough reason... unless they were comparing the CTS-V to the M5 on performance and to the C63 on price.
  19. Oh yeah, InsideLine... why the C63 instead of the E63?
  20. All pointless to the discussion at hand. The current M5's numbers are 500 HP, 383 lb-ft. Where have you seen these numbers for the new M5? BTW, you know the next M5 is dropping the V10 in favor of a "huge-turbo V8," right?
  21. I think that's the point that's trying to be made.
  22. OK, A Christmas Story was said. Home Alone 1 and 2. AVOID 3 and 4.
  23. Pontiac outsold Saturn yet again... but Pontiac IS on the block.
  24. Because they can put it on their shoulder, near their waist... or anywhere they choose...
  25. 'blu, nice A Christmas Story reference. Saw an E36 M3 Coupe outside my office building a little while ago... all good, except for the Altezza tails...
