It's the only GM midsize AWD/FWD hatchback in the US market. That's a unique configuration. I know that's a small detail, but it was all I could think of...I didn't have GM in there, but then I remembered the Audi A7 and BMW 5 series GT also are midsize hatchbacks.

Sunny and 56 degrees today, and most of the snow has melted. Back yard soggy/muddy. But did enjoy time outside after a week of nasty weather.

Weather getting a bit better...was out and about this morning and saw a grubby, dented salt-encrusted red Tesla Model S coming out of the McDonalds drive thru...funny to see a Tesla driven like any other winter beater. The rear bumper fascia was cracked.

More like 1959. Renault Dauphine electric conversion. Henney Kilowatt was one such conversion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henney_Kilowatt

Note that the Duramax is a diesel, though. Is anyone doing single turbos like this for a gas V6?

Watching an episode of Phantom Works, they are building a hot rod '31 Chevy Landau Phaeton--a 2dr convertible. I had never heard of that car, didn't realize there were 2dr Phaetons (I knew that Ford used the name on 4dr convertibles). Googling turned up that Ford had a 2dr Phaeton also. Learn something new everyday... (On the 2dr variety, having a back seat and longer interior and top seems to be the main differences from a roadster). This is a pic of the finished car..neat little rod. I'm so used to seeing pics of Model A and 32 Fords that it's neat to see a Chevy of that era (which looks very similar to a Ford IMO).

The proper RWD/AWD platform and drivetrain alone make the Aviator more appealing to me than the XT6, and the styling. Nothing retro about it that I can see.

heh-heh..I guess I've run that one into the ground, haven't I?

Alas, the 'tablet glued to the dash' approach seems to be the way most automakers are going with their touchscreens...I prefer the integrated approach FCA does on most of their products. I don't like all black interiors either (or all gray interiors)...too gloomy. I prefer two tone interiors w/ a light and dark color contrasting or two light shades (like tan and lt brown)>

The rear end looks Maserati-sh... the greenhouse from the side looks a lot like the previous Optima. I like the front and interior, esp. in the two tone.

It's funny..this car is a similar formula (midsize, AWD, V6) to a short lived model from 30 years ago..kind of the spiritual successor to the 6000 STE AWD... https://oppositelock.kinja.com/1989-pontiac-6000ste-awd-a-unicorn-s-unicorn-1682154654

Was -3F this morning when I got up.. Now up to 1F and sunny..heat wave coming, supposed to be 50 Sunday..which will melt all the snow and make a mess...

Cold and sunny today...high was -1 today. Supposed to be -5 at 7am tomorrow. Haven't been outside today, but got to roll out the wheely bins in the morning..

Yes, I think the market is past the point where EVs have to be weird to be accepted, normalized styling will be an asset going forward.. I wonder if GM, Nissan and Toyota will get that, though..the Bolt, Leaf and Prius are all still pretty weird...

Greenhouse looks like the current 4 series Gran Coupe.

That is sharp..would like to see a CT6 in that color.

GMC News: GMC Considers Whether It Should Do An Electrified Sierra
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in GMC Trucks
Never seen mileage that good since then...but on freeway road trips on I-90 and I-80 I've seen 24-25 mpg regularly--which is good for a 5000lb SUV, IMO. I have a few decent length trips planned for the spring/summer---Detroit and Ann Arbor, maybe a coastal trip in Michigan, down to Louisville, KY to visit cousins, up to Buffalo and Niagara Falls..- 26 replies

Haven't seen that green on the Regal..very nice. I love the '70s looking metallic apple green (not sure of the name) I've seen on the Challenger, Charger and 300. I really the browns I've seen on several vehicles--Jeep has a couple and I've seen a nice one on the Regal Tour X. I also love dark reds, like wine colors. I've had dark metallic gray and dark metallic blue in the past, along w/ bright red.
