I can't think of the last Honda I've ridden in...maybe be a Pilot from about 2007. Are Hondas particularly noisy? Maybe it's part of getting older, but I really appreciate smooth and quiet in a vehicle more than noisy...

Maybe only 1% of drivers care what the engine sounds like...99% of drivers just want it to work and the noise to not intrude on the sound system. More work needs to be done on quieting HVAC fans IMO...the loud noise of AC or heat on full gets old in many cars.. I'm all for maximizing sound deadening--I hate when automakers don't put enough sound deadening with the excuse of saving weight or saving cost.

Kia News: 2018 Kia Stinger to Begin At $32,800, GT At $39,200

The Stinger sounds like a fun car, some spicy kimchi and bi bim bop, with currywurst. -

..and Detroit's response with Generic Detroit Appliances--like the J-body, N-body, etc., K-cars, etc...forgettable excrement... I'm sure they can tune them to make loud noises.. I'm sure eventually EVs will have tunable soundtracks so you can customize them...make them sound like a Cat diesel or F1 v10 under full throttle, for instance...or how cool would it be to make your Tesla sound like an old beater with a bad lifter and blown muffler?

Ram News: Spying: Ram 1500 Sporting A Split Tailgate?
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
I'm sure the Ford Man Step works well..I can see how it would be useful in loading boxes, furniture, etc in and out of a pickup bed.....back around 2011-12, I rented an F150 from uHaul to haul some furniture to the storage unit, and the damn thing was so high off the ground I had to position a stepladder behind the open tailgate to walk stuff up and into the bed and vice versa...it's absurd how high even 2wd pickup beds are today.- 37 replies

I'm just glad to be out of the fuckin' fecal desert and in a cold climate for Thanksgiving and Christmas again. My Jeep is ready for winter--new tires, floor mats, shovel, ice scraper. And since I'm working from home 100%, I can be selective about when I go out..

Sound deadening, I think mainly..and it does make the engine compartment look more tidy. The reality is today few owners ever open their hoods..it's something done at the dealer or other service shop when changing oil, etc. So it's out of sight, out of mind. I think I've only had the hood open 3 times on my Jeep in the 7+ months I've had it.

Yes..it's too bad they didn't bring back that starter sound for the Challenger and Charger...would be a cool retro touch. -

Lots of interesting things going on here..the Roadster is not really a 'roadster', more of a Targa....mix of old Eclipse and C7 styling cues, IMO..

My yard service mows once a week. I was able to get by with getting it mowed every two weeks in Phoenix, grew slower. Except those guys took an hour to do a smaller lot. Here the guys have bigger mowers and do the front and the back in 15 min.
