  1. As part of my investment portfolio, I do have some auto stocks...Ford, GM, FCA, Daimler, Tesla...
  2. They need to lengthen the wheelbase. The current RX only has a 109.x inch wheelbase, the GX 112.9...both are too short for a 3 row, needs more like 118-120 for proper legroom for the 2nd and 3rd rows. Oddly, the Highlander has a 109.x wheelbase and 3 rows, wonder how the legroom for the 3rd row is..I read the 2nd row is adjustable...so this RX 3 row sounds like it will be a reskinned Highlander.
  3. So I wonder if this will render the GX redundant? it's a BOF 3 row SUV that is still around, but long ago forgotten...
  4. That would require a big investment to develop a full size truck platform for the NA market... Or they could just sell a tarted-up version of the existing hellacool Sprinter dropside here, revised w/ a more conventional bed. It is available in short- and long-bed versions, regular cab and double cab.. https://www.mercedes-benz.co.uk/content/unitedkingdom/mpc/mpc_unitedkingdom_website/en/home_mpc/van/home/new_vans/models/sprinter/sprinter-dropside.html
  5. Must have been a really low effort on M-Bs part..they didn't even bother to change the rest of the body...just a different nose on a generic Asian body (funny thing is--the Nissan Navara, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu something and Ford Ranger all have similar profiles w/ the kickup of the back side window).
  6. And not to mention youth today don't want cars, at least not those you have to drive yourself.
  7. I would think it would be lower. I know in Phoenix Corvettes seem to really attract an older crowd. I chatted with a 75yr old at Cars & Coffee in Scottsdale last year w a new Z06. He had a C4 ZR1 and C6 ZR1 and home...all the Corvettes at the event seemed to have owners in the AARP demo...Corvettes are like Harleys--they attract older male buyers. Nothing wrong with the that..when I get to old fart status, I want to drive something fun.
  8. Supposedly my Jeep is rated at 6200lbs for the V6. Though I doubt I'll ever tow anything...
  9. Since the old Ranger went away, there have been no truly cheap trucks in the US market, I could see a niche for something like this.
  10. The AMG GT is a very clean design for the most part...different cars for different buyers..the AMG is competing w/ Porsche 911 shoppers. The Corvette goes for the more brash, cartoonish styling to appeal to the inner 15 yr old of their 65 yr old buyers. (j/k)
  11. Change the grille and brand it as a Ram Dakota...(I wonder how much work it would take to federalize)
  12. I'll have to read up on it..don't recall it being mentioned in the C&D article, the main thing they mentioned regarding the engine was the larger supercharger relative to the Z06...
  13. In a world of boring, predictable despair gray interiors, brown is such a tasty choice...brown is the color of coffee..the color of chocolate.. Even better when in a two tone.
  14. Didn't know it was such a thing either...I guess it's something new to add complexity and add as an advertising talking point.
  15. As far as the AMG GT wings, the street version wings are quite mild compared to the race car...
  16. I wonder if this engine will turn up in other GM models..maybe a Camaro Z/28 or Escalade V-series..
  17. I wonder what percentage of pickups are sold w/ the 'bench' described above vs buckets w/ fixed armrest..
  18. No, EU pedestrian impact rules require a crush zone for the hood. Problem is the hood bulge would be so big (like an outlaw scoop) it would cut into driver visibility...
  19. I like the look w/ the big wing...kind of looks like a street version of the C7R...kind of a real race car look.
  20. I have my basement for my man cave (future project) and a spare bedroom (4 bedroom house) for my hobby room/home office. I didn't have a garage in Arizona, wished I had one there...no protection from the dust, sun, tree needles and sap, stray cats, etc...
  21. IIRC, the Urus will be on the same platform as the Cayenne, Bentyaga, etc.... should be comfortable and a good performer...
  22. I wish I had a four car garage..but I do have space down on the family farm.
  23. I was concerned if I could open the hatch in the garage...I can..woo hoo. Some days the littlest things make me happy.
  24. Finally cleared enough space to get my Jeep in my garage. For a 1967 suburban tract house 2 car garage, it feels small..hard to imagine a 60s full size sedan and wagon fitting in here...still have work to do to get the second spot open.
