  1. Averaged 25.5mpg over 2099 miles on my road trip. Best tankful average was 28.3 mpg, on I-40 in flat, painfully boring Texas panhandle and Oklahoma.
  2. Couldn't have shipped the dogs though. Last time I shipped a car it was about $1100, 15 years ago. In retrospect, should have rented an RV or minivan to drive back here w the dogs. Jeep is too small inside for all that we crammed in it. That said, it drove very well...smooth and comfortable for long distance driving. .
  3. Finished the Valley of the Sun-Lake Erie Dash. 2087 miles, 46 hours, 25.5 mpg average. Exhausted. Jeep filthy, two rock chips on windshield, some rocker trim ripped off from running over object on I-70 west of Columbus. Wired from caffiene, need sleep. Was 105F when we left Phoenix Sat evening, 56F now in Cleveland.
  4. I like the Colonnade cars, esp. the '73s with the small rear bumpers. The Grand Am, Grand Prix, Laguna, and Gran Sport in particular...
  5. Couldn't tell, definitely looked like it had an engine--wasn't sitting high in the front..strange--in a carport in a residential area in Central Phoenix...hadn't noticed it before, but off a street I used to drive every day.
  6. The Challenger has an old school quality about it that I love...burly chunky '70s style..classic Mopar muscle in a modern form.
  7. Haven't seen it in person yet, may this summer when I go out to Denver to visit friends...
  8. A buddy of mine in Denver bought a new Civic hatchback (may have been an Si) the same day I bought my Jeep at the end of March. His is gray with the rear wing in red and other trim in red..definitely 'distinctive' looking..
  9. One Jeep color scheme I really like is the dark brown w/ brown interior (kind of a baseball glove color). The day I bought my Jeep, there was a GC Summit in the showroom in brown on brown..parked next to a purple Hellcat Challenger and a white w/ red & black interior Challenger 392 Scat Pack Shaker.....
  10. The funny thing is since I got mine I see them everywhere..there are a lot of them around Phoenix, and it seems at least 60% are black..
  11. I always see some in and around Phoenix esp. in the winter...people don't drive them here in the summer much...will be interesting to see what I see in the Cleveland area this summer...finally leaving for there this weekend....hitting the road tomorrow in the new Jeep w/ my sister and the dogs..
  12. Saw a dusty '73 Olds Hurst/Olds Cutlass (white, gold stripe, padded top), parked baking in the vile Arizona sun...looked like it hadn't moved in a long time.
  13. So using MLBEvo, they will have the Touraeg, Q5 and Q7, Cayenne, Bentyaga, and Urus. (along w/ Audi sedans). I wonder if Seat and Skoda will get variants also..
  14. Looks clean and modern, should do well..some nice details. Where as the Atlas is a practical family hauler for the US like the Pilot, Explorer, etc, this has more premium and global market aspirations...
  15. FCA does it that way also...Grand Cherokee is 2 rows, Durango is 3 rows. Albeit across 2 different brands, but same dealers..
  16. Looks like a mix of current Audi and VW styling cues, no surprises..though surprised the US be getting the new Touareg, seems redundant w/ the Atlas..
  17. The K900 is over $50k. Seems like a lot of money for generic offbrand product.
  18. Looks like a bigger Optima
  19. Audis are pretty sweet. I love their interiors. A buddy of mine bought a '13 A7 as a CPO last year after his low mileage '02 Maxima was totaled from a Colorado hail storm. The A5 and A7 are my favorite Audis, but as with any used luxury car, I wouldn't want one out of warranty. No more old money pits for H-Cube.
  20. I'd take a 2015 Charger SRT-8. 2005 would be too old for a daily (too many years and miles). I wouldn't touch the Audi without an extended warranty.
  21. If they would normalize the front to be similar to the new Compass and GC, that would help a lot. The current one looks violently ugly w the headlights so low and the grille bending over the hood, IMO. Never understood the thinking behind putting the headlights where the fog lights should be. Just looks awkward.
  22. The Model Y is going to follow the Model 3 and be the small CUV, I've read...
  23. Also known as the Qashqai in Europe. While watching a British crime drama last week, I heard a couple of references to a suspect's 'Cashkey' then I realized what they were talking about when the car was shown..
  24. The Juke is distinctive, doesn't look like anything else on the road. Sat in one at an auto show once, the rear seat area seemed cramped and it felt very narrow inside...
  25. The NSX. Now if that were a 993 911 Turbo in Mexico blue, then I'd be probably go for the 911...
