  1. The ILX is a clean design, but the greenhouse looks very Lexus-like...
  2. Maybe they could raise the roof a few inches to make the rear window usable...stylish, but the micro rear window on the Evoque is absurd..
  3. Would be great for going up and down my Mom's driveway in Ohio in the winter (7/8th of a mile long, gravel).
  4. RDX is much larger....more CR-V sized, I think..
  5. Ambitious... so is the ILX replacing the TSX?
  6. I may be wrong and this is off-topic, but I think the '68-72 Chevelle 2drs had the same rear window and c-pillar slope..it was only the quarter window shape that differed as far as the greenhouse. The '70-72 C-pillar and quarter window look a lot like the Skylark/GS of the same years.. As far as the 130 goes, I'd like to see it in person.
  7. accelerate
  8. Nice..that faded red but w/ white bumpers, grille, etc is what the '57 GMC panel I saw near Prescott, AZ last summer looked like...
  9. The article cited concern over having it in the same dealership as the Buick Encore. Chevy is probably a better place for an xB competitor anyway.. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/11/gmc-granite-is-dead/
  10. Yes, the greenhouse and rear clearly is an evolution of the current Mondeo...nothing from the current Fusion really to been in the new one..
  11. I'm not sure if '70s Chevelle or Monte Carlo styling cues translate well to a Vega-sized car...the 130 looks very tall and narrow...kind of 1-series proportions w/ a Neon-ish c-pillar. I can see the 140 being built as a Chevy coupe and a Cadillac ELR w/ a lot of parts in common...
  12. People keep forgetting about the bigger issue--the upcoming increase in CAFE standards..that alone is going to drive more and more subcompact and compact product and smaller, more efficient drivetrains across all the brands...
  13. The car has a very toad-like shape, with a fish mouth. Strange thing..seen a couple Velocters in the wild..
  14. I wonder when Lexus will have a similar model, based on the xB or XD....
  15. It looks like they smoothed out the weird headlight bulges of the current generation..
  16. I had been past the California park many times but never stopped in till I had a kid. I never really had the time anyways as there is so much else to do there. California is my theme park. It is a great place to visit but I would not want to live there. A week or two a year is fine with me. I really need to get back to Hawaii. That is where I really love the beaches. Too bad they closed down Crusier Bob's on Maui. It is a blast riding a mountain bike from the top of a 11,000 foot Volcano to the ocean. I guess someone got killed and spoiled the fun. I about froze my butt off in August as it was only 34 degrees at the top. I usually go to Cali 3-4 times a year....I'm thinking about my vacations this year, have 15 days + holidays w/ my new gig....thinking a few days in Hawaii (Maui or Big Island) around April and Montreal in June for the Canadian GP would be good...
  17. The 130R seems awfully tall and narrow, with a lot of ground clearance..may be the big wheels that emphasize that.. 140 = Eclipse + ELR + Chevy cues..
  18. One last thing...someone on another forum commented that the greenhouse resembles the Neon coupe..hmmm...I see a resemblance in the c-pillar and side window.
  19. Saw a sharp silver-green w/ white vinyl top '73 Coupe de Ville in the parking garage at work...what a beast...really stands out in a garage full of modern Priuses, Civics, Accords, Camrys, SUVs, CUVs etc....
  20. 2015 CAFE standards. World vehicle. Future growth niche. Lots of reasons. I am surprised to see a Buick Gamma CUV before a Chevy version, though.
  21. 140 reminds me of an Eclipse mixed w/ the ELR w/ Chevy styling cues mixed in. The 130 has the proportions of the 1-series, but otherwise looks unique in a strange way..
  22. A bit more than MCE, but the greenhouse looks carryover...a similar update to how the '10 Mustang was...
  23. I think so..and Audi already has the A3 here, which is a similar 5dr hatch configuration...and Ford's B-Max is likely coming as well...
  24. I would think Lincoln and maybe Acura will do something like this eventually..
