  1. Beyond diesels, they could do an ad w/ a rusty Vega and a worn out '80s Cavalier and then show the Cruze, to show how far Chevy has come w/ their small cars...or a worn out Geo Metro and the new Sonic..
  2. Handsome cars... forgot they had a t-top option..haven't seen one in ages. Love the red & white interior.
  3. 1. Get a new/better job w/ a shorter commute (resigned from the bank last week, starting a new gig in late March) 2. Save more money 3. Loose weight 4. Stay sane 5. Eat better 6. Get more sleep 6. Get out of Arizona 7. Go to more races (went to one Indy Car event last year, so far got tickets to a NASCAR Sprint Cup race tomorrow, the Indy 500, The Long Beach Grand Prix and the Long Beach ALMS race)
  4. That was a Super Bowl ad, IIRC..
  5. I don't see any correlation between diesel truck sales and diesel car sales..I doubt if potential buyers of diesel cars would pay attention to diesel trucks. Diesel never had a stigma for me, my Dad's diesel Escort that I drove for a few years was a great little car.
  6. On Fox, about the only shows I still watch semi-frequently are The Simpsons, House, Fringe and Bones. Probably my favorite current network/basic cable show is TNT's SouthLAnd..
  7. I watch very little network tv, have seen this show a few times, did't find it very funny...about the only network comedy in recent years that I watch occasionally that I like is 'Big Bang Theory'.
  8. Sheen is going to end up dead if he can't control himself..
  9. LoL...
  10. Interesting..I see the last launch for the Atlantis is scheduled for my birthday...cool. I wonder if they will play the song 'The Final Countdown' at the launch. I went to see a couple shuttle launches back in the '80s, saw the Columbia and Challenger launch..it's quite an impressive sight to behold.
  11. Taurus is a fullsize model..19 sounds reasonable for a fullsize. The Fusion is the midsize Ford, probably has a smaller tank.
  12. Range is not a big deal to me, I try and stop every 2 hours on any road trip anyway..
  13. Wow..I wonder if the Swedish patient was too much for them..
  14. My Jeep theoretically has a 350 mile range, but I don't think I've ever gone that many miles w/ out fill up. I don't recall the specifics, but IIRC the '04 Impala I drove from San Jose to Denver back in '04 had a great range....
  15. Sweet... looks smaller than it is..
  16. One thing I've realized is in profile and from the front, it has a very '4dr Corvette' quality to it, in the proportions and fender curves...pretty sweet. One I haven't got a feel for is the size--length, width, height...haven't seen any dimensions posted yet.
  17. Saw a new ZR1 in traffic this afternoon, dark gray w/ dark gray wheels...absolutely badass.
  18. I have no reason to go to Death Valley (just another effing desert), but I'd rent a car before heading out there...wouldn't drive my own car there. If I buy a car in 2012, it will likely be RWD w/ a V8, the way I like it.
  19. I like how the Challenger and Charger both resist the tyranny of the triangular taillight. Far too many cars today have triangular or trapazoidal lights in the fender corners with a big decklid opening w/ no detail except maybe a licence plate pocket and a chrome bar above it.. GM had some great rear taillight panels and rear bumpers in the past...some that I like a lot incl. the 2nd gen Camaros through '73, the '66-67 Toronados, pretty much any '61-69 B-body Pontiac, the fantastic '71-72 Grand Prix, and my favorite, the audacious '71-72 Riviera..
  20. Drool...what a beautiful example of my favorite generation of B-bodies ('73 is probably my 2nd favorite year after the '72).
  21. Love the styling...love the proportions...and it's not another FWD eco-turd. Blows the Panamera away in terms of styling. Love the two-tone interior, though it could use more wood.
  22. A Bieber/Lady Gaga sex tape would be an interesting cultural artifact...
  23. what is needed is an app for your phone that you can remotely control the HVAC, audio, lighting, etc so that after you remote start the car, you can adjust it...
  24. I wouldn't pay over $25k for a 4cyl econobox...for a $40k Chevy I'd buy a loaded Camaro SS.
  25. Or likewise, could be used to get the car comfortable when the car has been sitting outside all day on a 115 degree July day..remote start and remote A/C activation is a nice extra I'd like to have.
