  1. LoL...keep in mind, though, these are just cheap trucks..can't expect Cadillac-grade interiors..
  2. Change the decals, and it's an Impala, like the real NASCAR cars..
  3. For stalks, I like the approach Chrysler had over 10 years ago like on my GC...two stalks, all lighting controls on the left, all wiper controls on the right. Cruise control controls on the wheel w/ volume/mode/station up/down. Hard to improve on that. I've driven a few cars w/ the cruise control on a stalk, don't care for that. Anyway, back on topic...wonder what engine choices the NG small truck will have...and wonder if they will keep the C/C names, or get new names?
  4. While oot and aboot today over in Scottsdale I saw a dark gray Ferrari California spyder, top down and a Grabber Blue '10-11 Shelby GT500 convertible, top down. Beautiful afternoon here.
  5. Hmmm..Pad Thai or Pad See Euu...mild or Thai hot?
  6. Cool..that was the last Olds B-body wagon until '71, I think.
  7. Nothing wrong w/ the proportions..it's RWD, not a FWD generic..
  8. The upcoming Ferrari FF is one..other regular production ones I can think of are the Jensen GT, Reliant Scimitar GTE and arguably, the BMW Z3 coupe. Lots of custom ones, mostly from English coachbuilders..
  9. The decklid looks to be about a foot lower than the CTS.. Though the E-class coupe is more the competitor of the CTS...the ATS coupe whenever it comes out (2015? 2020?) will compete w/ this car...
  10. The greenhouse looks way too much like the Accord. Understandable that they would do it w/ the fixed b-pillar, though, to distinguish it from the slightly larger E-class coupe. So now after many decades, Merc finally has a 3-series coupe competitor..
  11. The personal luxury coupe, definitely, already covered by OB... One genre that has died out that I've always liked is the RWD, V8 full size sedan... the traditional American-style big cars. The Ford Panthers are the last of this genre... I liked the 2dr versions also, but those have been gone for over 25 years now.. I like the Chrysler 300 and Charger quite a bit, they have a long wheelbase but are smaller, more sport sedans, not of the classic floaty land yacht style..
  12. How about tofurkey or turducken?
  13. This thread if full of 'not win'.
  14. Wayfarers
  15. ....
  16. The W-LaCrosse had nothing to do with any Opel..it was a W just like the Impala. You must be thinking of the Aura.
  17. apples and oranges..the Malibu was/is the smaller model, where the Regal now fits.
  18. Well, look how 'fast' they replaced another W-body...look at the timelines of the W-LaCrosse when it was introduced (about the same time as the last Impala update) and when the Epsilon version came out...why wasn't the Impala on a similar schedule?
  19. Hyundai has a comparatively small product line and wasn't in bankruptcy the last couple of years..GM has a vast product line to spread the $$$$ across. Ford has used the same dashes in the Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Ranger for the last 15 years, so GM probably figures they can do the same thing...
  20. Saw two new Ford Explorers--the first I've seen on the road...a white one and a dark blue one. Not bad... Also saw a minty '79 Trans Am, black & gold, with the t-tops off...
  21. Wasn't those spy shots of a European-spec version, had the truck-size mirrors also?
  22. Yeah, my guesstimate was a bit high..but I was basing that off comparisons w/ other models with the same/similar hardware--i.e. the CTS-v and ZR-1. And I doubt if any new GT500s actually sell for $48k..out the door w/ options and dealer markup they seem to be closer to $60k, which is where I expect the ZL1 will be regardless of the base price... Anyway, seems like a hell of a car for $50k-60k...will be interesting to see how the performance stacks up against the competition..
  23. Taillights look the same as the current car in the pics in this thread..
  24. I figure it will be similarly priced to the GT500, which is well north of $50k normally...add in the dealer markup, I would expect it will be about the same as the CTS-v..
  25. We'll see on the pricing..I was guessing $50-75k (plus dealer markup). The wheels are ok, but I'd rather have the ZR1 wheels. I like the hood and interior changes.
