  1. A really clean two tone (cream and dark blue) mid '80s 4dr Regal (last of the RWD ones)..
  2. Maybe just buy a used Cobalt or Cavalier if you want something cheap and fuel efficient.
  3. You could also slap on GMC badges and have your own version of the Granite before GM puts theirs out..
  4. Interesting..the Doblo is also built in Turkey, like the Transit Connect. The Ducato is available in Europe in many bodystyles and wheelbases incl. a neat Crew Cab flatbed pickup. They also have the Scudo, which appears to be a large minivan w/ a commercial van version.
  5. Cool..coming here April 15-17...but I'll be in LA that weekend.
  6. Saw a white CTS coupe today w/ large black wheels w/ chrome rims. Looked good even though I still think it's too thick and stubby in rear quarters..
  7. New Rio...so a new Accent is probably coming as well?
  8. Last couple of days have been good for seeing old Ford trucks. 1st was a '59 fleetside, white grille and bumper, body panels in 4 different shades of primer---gray, dark gray/black, primer red, and flat olive green... next was a '68-69 F100 w/ fleetside w/ the neat integrated tool box, kind of an aqua blue and white, very clean shape, probably an older paint job..had vintage gold on blue California plates..next was a '73-74 F350 Camper Special w/ the funky special wheelbase the Camper Special used, in a great '70s two-tone brown and tan..very solid and clean w/ a bit of oxidation..
  9. The Silverado numbers are surprising for one month..way more than any of the cars, almost as much as all of GMC.
  10. Bad move..I guess they are probably getting out of motorsports also.
  11. For Imperials, I'm fond of the '64-66 with their crisp lines and unusual offset rear license plate, and the massive fuselage styling '69-73 models..
  12. Sounds like a pretty slick little truck. Probably wouldn't be cheap enough for the US market, though.
  13. I bet it's close to the size of the late '90s A3..
  14. It's not bad..the greenhouse reminds me of the previous Astra..
  15. Maybe they are adding that trim level to the European market...
  16. He's got to be a big disapointment and frustration for his father...I've always respected Martin Sheen for his acting and activism.
  17. It is not that everyone get treated better than the Americans it is the fact that not enough Americans want what many get overseas. If GM really thought they could sell them they would be here. The hatchback I think you get away with but imagine the resale on a 4 cylinder Diesel 6 speed Manual? If GM imported 10,000 here they would be sitting on most of them. A hatchback 4cyl diesel w/ a manual is the only way I'd consider buying a compact or subcompact FWD car..but I know the mainstream would overwhelmingly want a silver sedan w/ an automatic. Something like a Golf GDI would rock, or a Focus STDi..get the sportiest suspension, most loaded interior w/ a diesel and a manual..that would be a fun little car, I think...
  18. Perhaps in referenece to the Wikipedia bio that implies Beiber's Mom is a Christian anti-Semite. Sounds like his family was in the poor white trash demographic (or whatever the Canadian equivalent is).
  19. I wonder if Buickman would like it.
  20. I saw a very clean '57 Imperial 2dr ht in red w/ white roof in traffic Friday afternoon...what a beast.
  21. Went to see 'The King's Speech' on Saturday..one of the movie trailers was for Bieber's 'Never Say Never' 'concert film'...I nearly hurled my popcorn...looked horrific.
  22. Don't get me started on jersey Shore. I'll be here for hours typing up a dissertation on how it offends me as an Italian. Supposedly, they'll be going to Italy or something, and hopefully the REAL Italians will tell those fools what a damn disgrace they are. I'm sure the show is offensive to all New Jersey residents also.. hard to imagine that the mindlessness of the show reflects the state and it's residents in any realistic way. Or course, all I know about New Jersey is from the TV drama 'The Sopranos' that I really liked, that my favorite musician and band is from there (Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band), and that AT&T Bell Labs in Murray Hill was a pretty cool place to work in the '90s (a number of friends from grad school went to work there back in the day).
  23. Funny thing is, a diesel Cruze without a doubt is definitely more refined, well optioned, quicker, safer etc than the older cars, but I bet it wouldn't come close the mileage of an '84 Escort diesel (which routinely got 55mpg highway).
  24. "Conquer the world and self destruct." - MetallicA My favorite dispair-themed album is probably still 'The Downward Spiral' by NIN...listening to it now still brings back warm fuzzies of the Prozac-and-Jaegermiester fueled PHD days in gray Michigan in the mid '90s/my mid 20s..
  25. Beyond diesels, they could do an ad w/ a rusty Vega and a worn out '80s Cavalier and then show the Cruze, to show how far Chevy has come w/ their small cars...or a worn out Geo Metro and the new Sonic..
