  1. It wasn't meant to be exhaustive..just my thoughts on what the 'boxes' could be... Yes..the categories are the boxes... Today those terms are usually used interchangeably, like conservative/regressive on the other side..
  2. What's HCCI? Not familiar with that FLA. I can't recall the last time I actually looked at my tach.
  3. No, the problems start when ideas morph into agendas. Agendas are the reality context into which ideas fit..kind of hard to have ideas without context. I disagree. Agendas (at least in the way I'm using the word) are when people attempt to morph facts to suit the agenda holder's desired outcome. Some of the agendas I've encountered have little to no basis in reality. That can work also... I was viewing an agenda as a collection of (related) ideas sharing a common theme. Just trying to apply a little object-oriented modeling..my work thoughts intersecting w/ my 'play' thoughts, I guess..
  4. I assume the rear bumper, taillights and tailgate are showcar pieces, not productionized. Though I like the clean tailgate, maybe the release could be integrated into the emblem or the remote.
  5. Cool..haven't had that feeling since I had my M3 and when I drove my Mustang regularly. Most days I'm just itchin' to leave work to go home to sleep or play Farmville, or figure out what's for dinner..

  7. Ideas are great..the problems come with the execution and implementation of those ideas..
  8. Been there. Done that. Twice. Once was a mutual dumping, though.
  9. As far as fitment goes, of course: diesel WAS the Olds 350, and the V8-6-4 WAS the 368, so those 4 engines are only 2. Also on this list was the 4.1L V6. Retro-fitting an STS Northstar system into a E Touring Coupe would be a hoot n a half. Still sharp designs, esp the TCs. There was also the non-V8-6-4 version of the 368 in 1980, and the gas Olds 350 in '79-80. Including the V6 in '81-82, 6 engines..

    Karaoke

I've done some GNR and Bon Jovi at Karaoke years ago...probably my strangest attempts were some classic NWA, Ice Cube, and early Eminem..
  11. It would have to be a northstar from an STS, but I'm not sure the transmission would handle the torque. Ah, yeah..the Eldo of that generation was a north-south FWD, not transverse..that generation had a lot of available engines..diesel, Olds 350, 368, V8-6-4, 4100..
  12. I wonder if anyone has ever transplanted a Northstar into one of these..I've always liked the crisp styling of the '79-85 E-bodies...there is a very clean dark gray Eldo Touring Coupe around that I see once in a while...
  13. Interesting idea..too bad it was never finished. Speaking of performance wagons, I wonder if Ford ever built a SHO wagon as a prototype back in the day..that would have been cool...I guess the '11 equivalent would be a Flex SHO or Explorer SHO..
  14. In life, I've found reality is like Michigan skies...different shades of gray. No absolutes.. things are relative to their context...
  15. TMI...anyway, back to reality, I think I'm going to spend the coin for a really good primo car wash, hand wax, and interior detailing for my Jeep soon..I've been keeping it up mechanically, but not so much w/ the paint (too much bird poo, cats, etc) and interior.
  16. curious if you could name a few of those boxes...? They are kind of obvious, aren't they? Parties, economic and political philosophies.. Democrat, Republican, etc parties capitalist, socialist, objectivist, etc economic philosophies Liberal/progressive, moderate, conservative, liberatarian, etc political philosophies realist, idealist, delusionist, etc worldviews......
  17. The bedcover w/ Avalanche-y hoop is just showcar glitz, I assume..that reminds me of the recent Malooo ute.
  18. I would assume the production model will continue to be BOF. Haven't heard anything about powertrains..I assume diesels outside NA, but will the 5 cyl return or will it be 4cyl and V6 for NA?
  19. Saw the pics of the undisguised concept (a gold extended cab w/ a bed cover)....very nice, very modern, looks much more upscale than the homely current model.

    Karaoke

It's been a while since I've done Karaoke, but I've had fun w/ it in the past after a few beers..Styx's Mr Roboto was a favorite, or anything by Def Leppard or AC/DC sung in a William Shatner style voice (w/ dramatic pauses).
  21. Then of course there's the prepubescent girl who goes by the name Justin Bieber. I can't wait for the televised Quinceañera. Maybe he will do an image makeover when he turns 18..shave his head or get a mowhawk, tats, wierd random piercings, and rebrand himself as a punk rocker or death metal 'artist'...
  22. Rear cupholders take care of that. I really should take my Jeep and get the interior detailed..haven't vacuumed it in over 4 years, lots of dog hair, french fries, coins, etc in the carpet..
  23. I wonder when Bieber will do an album w/ Nickelback or Celine Dion.
  24. I require center armrests--both front and back. I don't need one in the back..I don't ride there, but one in the front is definitely a must have..
  25. He already has a G8 GXP, probably doesn't need another 4dr. I thought he has a Grand Prix GXP? He did..thought he traded that on a G8 GXP last year..not sure.
