  1. Wot's a 'dike'?
  2. I think is more of a problem with trucks and SUVs than cars...trucks and SUVs have higher centers of gravity, and roll easily...and with their obesity, the big trucks and SUVs seem to collapse under their own weight...
  3. That's cool... the basic theme seems to be Toyota=happiness. Neat music.
  4. True, some will be 4500 lbs and 18 mpg..
  5. Strict Machine-Goldfrapp
  6. pessimism
  7. Yes...I don't see a big future for 6000lb, 14mpg bloat beasts... probably only 1% of the buyers really need these things to tow or haul stuff.
  8. Hummer seems pointless...if you want a 6000lb bloat beast, GM has plenty of them already with the GMT-900s that are at Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac dealers..
  9. I wouldn't call Zeta old, esp. compared to your beloved W-body..
  10. Nice spring weather here in Phoenix, over 80 today...saw a neat yellow Karmann-Ghia, a goregous maroon '68 Mustang coupe, a red '08 CTS, and a sweet orange Z06.
  11. Sweet Z... I had a white one rental for a long weekend in LA a couple of years ago and loved it...
  12. There are 5 RDXs in my work parking lot..I see quite a few of them around..the price seems competitive.
  13. I heard on the news today that scientists believe the world will end in about 7 million years (earth will burn up from solar radiation). So there's plenty of time. Go green, buy a Prius, live long and prosper.
  14. Not Announced Yet. $50k maybe?
  15. Yes, I remember several nice drives on my favorite back roads in Ohio's Amish country in a 300M.... another trip I went to a wedding in SW New York (on the PA line) and had a black LHS...I thought it handled quite well for a large FWD sedan on the twisty back roads..
  16. Unfortunately, the GLK is going to be painfully ugly, though..
  17. I had the pleasure of riding in a rental Caliber yesterday... ugh. Horrible blind spots, horrible plastic inside.
  18. Oooohhhh yeah.... BMW has for a long time built the best 6s, IMHO...love 'em.
  19. 44 here now..this time tomorrow night, I'll be in my home away from home in the Valley of the Sun, should hit 80 there this weekend..
  20. Agreed...Hummer is pointless poser bling $h!e...this would be fantastic for Pontiac..
  21. It snowed up in Alpine--east of San Diego-- last month, closed I-8, IIRC..
  22. Yeah, they seemed to be about the size of a LeSabre or Bonneville, I think.. Intrepids, LHSes, Concordes and 300Ms were my favorite rental cars from '99-04. I used to get them several times a year at the Columbus and Pittsburgh airports..
  23. In talking w/ my mom and brother, it sounds like they've had a lot of the snow/rain/freeze/snow cycle in Eastern Ohio this winter...sounds like it's been a rough one there. It was a great day here in the Denver today--60 and sunny.
