  1. True...I think GM NA (and Ford and Chrysler to some degree) have been guilty for a LONG time of tunnel vision, not seeing anything outside of the depressing, gray Detroit area with it's straight, flat potholed freeways...
  2. The Captiva would make a good Equinox replacement, I think.
  3. Would be cool, but I doubt if GM is going to do it..
  4. Huh? By 1997 when the U-body came out the A-body was already 15 years old and out of production..that makes no sense...
  5. Looks great in black...now if they would do one in white w/ no decals..
  6. The S2000, though, being a 2 seater convertible, is a pure sports car, by definition. The RX8 is a nice sports coupe. I wouldn't compare them, kind of an apples-to-oranges thing..
  7. Ed
  8. The Neon was ugly with a crappy interior, though. I always laugh when someone says X 'owns' Y...'own' sounds like silly teenage videogamer lingo...
  9. Chevy has so many models now, I don't see the need for them to have yet another...Pontiac, on the other hand..
  10. FWD coupes aren't my favorite genre, but having seen both up close inside and out now, I definitely prefer the Accord coupe.
  11. joy (happy happy joy joy)
  12. Yeah...easy enough to do, since the GT-R in the past has always been a Skyline... it's too bad they don't call the new one Skyline, since GT-R by itself is so generic, while 'Skyline' is very evocative...reminds me of fast drives along Skyline Drive (an incredible road in the Santa Cruz mountains in the SF Bay Area).
  13. Ohh...sorry. I am used to that spelling being feminine, i.e. Toni Morrison, Toni Braxton etc..
  14. With the changes in CAFE regs coming, I wouldn't be surprised if M-B didn't start offering 6-cyl S-classes and SLs in the US again...
  15. For too many years, it seems like many models within GM's brands have competed more with each other than with the rest of the market...
  16. i think she's referring to the G35/G37, which are called the Skyline in the Japan (the new GT-R is not a Skyline).
  17. Heh-heh...the RL, TL and even Accord interiors are way nicer, IMHO, than anything from GM (except for the CTS)...
  18. I'd like to see Pontiac thrive...but I keep coming back to the hard facts---GM has about 25% market share in the US...do they REALLY need 8 brands???
  19. Before my sister got into Benzes, she had a '91 Acura Legend coupe...was very reliable, and surprisingly tight at 150k miles..no squeaks or rattles.
  20. illegal
  21. Moltar moves to Canada.
  22. I've been involved for about 3 years with a group here in Littleton.. a group of friends got me involved, and it's fun..it's an all-night relay walk around a park in June. I know many people affected by cancer, incl. losing my father, an uncle, and an aunt to various cancers, and a friend (who's also in the Relay every year) that lost his wife to breast cancer at 35.
  23. They need to dump the lifers..they have proven ineffective. New blood would help the company in the long term.
  24. Chrysler has tried that with the Compass and Patriot..cheap and nasty. Not a successful move.
  25. I get the impression that mainstream country music today is as corporate and manufactured as pop music is...
