Production Challenger SRT-8 Interior Pics
I went out to the Chrysler website today and checked out the Challenger pics...did a build my own (very short option list) and it came out to $41,995 with gas guzzler tax.

2009 Chevrolet Traverse Preview
Yes, but at least the Lambdas aren't badge-engineered like the U vans were.....the vans only differed trivially--grilles, emblems.. but, yes, the Lambdas essentially are the vans' replacements.

Calling all geeks and nerds!
I wonder how the uniforms will look...gold, blue and red velour like TOS? I think part of the plot line is when Kirk and Spock first meet, and their early days on the Enterprise..

09 ACURA RL
Yeah..the Altima used to a small midsize or compact, then grew and overlapped the Maxima.. and the Maxima used to be primarily a FWD sports sedan but the current generation seems to be moving more towards a large pseudo-luxury FWD model like the Avalon..

09 ACURA RL
Minor cosmetic changes to the exterior...the decklid and maybe front fenders are the only metal changes I can see..the rest of the exterior changes are just plastic..

09 ACURA RL
Ahh... but I couldn't imagine anyone taking a LaCrosse more than 80 mph, though... what's the point.

09 ACURA RL
????? Faster than a GNX?

Chrysler to End Badge Engineering
Not likely...Plymouth was in a state of decline for at least 25 years before they were axed..

Chrysler to End Badge Engineering
True...I would say Chrysler has no badge-engineered models currently (except for the Sprinter, though the MB it's BE-ed from isn't sold here, and maybe the minivans). It's not like the '90s when there was a Dodge and Plymouth Neon and the midsize models (Cirrus/Stratus/Breeze) had identical metal, with only different grilles/taillights... The Aspen/Durango are about as differentiated as the Tahoe/Yukon...just enough to not be truly badge-engineered.

Its Super Tuesday
50 cents on a gallon isn't much, though. The government wastes billions on pointless wars, why not spend some on infrastructure?

VW @ Chicago 2008: 2009 VW Routan
Mmmm....squishy plastics. One thing I wish more makers would do is not just use soft plastics on the dash top, but on the door panels, center console and lower dash...I hate the rock-hard cheap plastics in those areas in so many vehicles today..

VW @ Chicago 2008: 2009 VW Routan
Maybe Chrysler can hook up with VW.... DCX didn't work, maybe they need to try another German partner..

Its Super Tuesday
Nothing wrong with that..esp. if the tax were used for road construction, energy research, etc..

At Long Last, Official Photos of the Dodge Challenger
Interesting...I just noticed that the inner headlights have the turn signals/parking lights in them... and they put driving lights in the fascia where the turn signals were on the '70.

VW @ Chicago 2008: 2009 VW Routan
Or like Burt Rutan or Dick Rutan I think it doesn't mean anything, made up to sound like their other models--Tiguan, Sharan, Touran.

Its Super Tuesday
I'm hoping Obama gets in, though I'd be happy with Hillary...I'd love to see a Democrat in the White House..the Republitards had 8 years to royally f*ck things up, we need change...

Production Challenger SRT-8 Interior Pics
Yeah, Chrysler always had an element of strange, which is kind of endearing...since the Challenger is a retro '70s car, I'd love to see apple green paint with a dark green vinyl top as an option...

2009 Chevrolet Traverse Preview
It's a compact wagon, not a compact SUV or crossover, though.

Stupid quote of the week, maybe even of the month...
True..as far as motorsport goes, NASCAR is pretty irrelevant.

2008 or 2009 Pontiac G8
Interesting..so will the GXP offer more power over the GT?

Its Super Tuesday
Maybe...I think Romney would be a better VP choice...Huckabee is a scary southern religious conservative, while McCain is a western moderate...Romney is more of a professional business-oriented fiscal conservative and presents a more palatable combination, I think.

Hyundai is Embarrassed of Itself...
I had wondered if their goal is a separate luxury channel...'Genesis' could work as a brand name, with a couple models under it... Hyundai the brand has so long been associated with cheap FWD generics in the US, that it's a hard sell as an entry-lux brand, I think..
