  1. Shadow on the Sun-Audioslave
  2. Ahhh...I remember the last time I did something like that...I was 35 and at a Festivus party with my Canadian drinking buddies. It took a couple days to recover..I can't do that anymore.
  3. True...but it would have a lot more miles and dreadful M-B quality (i.e. in the shop all the time).
  4. I need to caption these pics I have of my sister's dogs... Madeline looks grumpy here.. and this one of her dogs with my Aussie terrier (far right, looking toward the camera).
  5. I was at an Acura dealer today kicking tires and they have a black on black '06 RL on the lot, 34k miles, $34k. I really like the interior design and features, and the exterior is a pretty clean, if bland design. The '05-07 would make a good used car buy for a nice luxury commuter car, I think..
  6. Speaking of multi-line GM dealers, I know of a Chevrolet Pontiac Buick Cadillac GMC dealer (they used to have Oldsmobile also when I lived in the area).
  7. I like the C30, S40, V50..all pretty sweet looking. Good friends of mine are on their third Volvo now... they've an 850 wagon, XC70 (currently have), and a last-year 240 (still have). They also have a BMW 540i and before the Volvos, had an '86 Grand Am and '91 Regal..they've been very happy with the Volvos.
  8. True... variety is the spice of life... I've had Fords, GMs, 1 Chrysler product, 1 BMW so far..
  9. Good luck, Herr Borger. Maybe lurk here or drop back in under another identity.
  10. I think it's been on sale for a few years in Canada... I'll have to ask my Canadian friends if they see many when they go back to visit (but they are all from Regina, SK, though).
  11. 'Curmudgeon' I think is the appropriate term..
  12. Dude, hatchback bodystyles have been called 3dr and 5dr since at least the early '80s or longer...get used to it. It's nothing new.
  13. Cadillac Touring Sedan.
  14. Yeah, they reran the episode where they went to the US and had to buy cars for $1000 recently, and I watched again even though I'd seen when it first aired a few months ago. I'm hooked on BBC America, from TG to Doctor Who to Torchwood, Life on Mars, etc..
  15. Agreed...'badge-engineered' to me are where the cars have very minor superficial (non-metal) cosmetic differences--examples of badge-engineering incl. Dodge & Plymouth Neon, late '90s Malibu & Cutlass, the GM U-vans, the Cobalt and Pursuit/G4/G5, Colorado and Canyon, the '90s Chrysler Cirrus/Dodge Stratus/Plymouth Breeze,'80s Ford Escort/Mercury Lynx etc...
  16. Interesting..the greenhouse in profile reminds me a bit of the Fusion/Milan. I assume this will be based on the Euro Accord as with the previous one?
  17. You in marketing?
  18. Same here...as a GC owner, it's probably the only Chrysler product I'd seriously consider buying now...though I'm looking forward to seeing the Challenger..it's definitely a car I wouldn't mind having down the road. I like aspects of the 300 and Charger, but I don't think I'd buy either one.
  19. Agreed... though changing a front clip is much cheaper than changing a greenhouse..anything that affects door and window openings is very expensive, I think. Historically GM has never put too much effort in distinguishing Chevy and GMC truck and SUV styling... look at the Canyon and Colorado for recent examples, or the previous generation pickups and full-size SUVs. Though with the Trailblazer and Envoy they did a bit more than usual. With cars and crossovers, I think GM has done a great job with differentiating all the Epsilons and Lambdas, though..
  20. Sure it does..it doesn't compete with the Escalade. The Escalade really only has one competitor--the Navigator.
  21. Yeah, but that's a trivial thing...the greenhouse and doors and the same, as are the rear quarters and hatch...that's where the GMC and Chevy look much the same..
  22. You mean the front fenders? Yes, they are different. The Durango and Aspen also have different rear quarter panels..
  23. Agreed...I'm glad they are offering a sunroof..that's an annoying omission with the Mustang...it hasn't offered a sunroof since the Fox era, and that was a cheesy pop-up. The Challenger looks great in black and silver, I wouldn't go for the orange..too loud. It's too bad it's not yet offered in white. White w/ a black interior would be perfect.
  24. Not quite..the Aura and G6 share no sheetmetal or interiors; the differences between the Yukon and Tahoe are quite trivial.
  25. I went out to the Chrysler website today and checked out the Challenger pics...did a build my own (very short option list) and it came out to $41,995 with gas guzzler tax.
