  1. The pentastar today is very efficient. Direct injection will make it more so. With turbos, we're probably looking at a base Hemi replacement.
  2. That isn't a problem. The CTS just took over for the STS and lost the coupe in the process (though I believe we'll see a new one). Just like it's not a problem that the Fusion took over for the Taurus.
  3. what does wheel size have to do with tire quality? I can get 90k mile warranty 15" tires for my CR-V... in fact, that's what's on there now.
  4. Just remember how much more they'll cost to replace when you need new tires.
  5. Really? no one wants to take a wack at this?
  6. The Hemi "prefers" mid-grade, but will run just fine on regular. There is just a slight dial back in horsepower and torque when it detects the lower octane fuel.
  7. Better handling on 22s maybe, but better ride? No way. But who buys a Sierra for handling? Here in the pothole state, I always opt for smaller wheels when possible.
  8. Happy Birthday Cory!
  9. sounds like things might be a big more precarious than previously thought when the XC90 is such a make or break vehicle for them. I would think that a new S40 and maybe XC40 and XC60 would be higher priority.
  10. Couldn't wait for the TDI?
  11. All of these are from the same issue of National Geographic. First one to correctly guess the Month and Year will win a vintage look Dodge hat shown at the bottom of this post. Contest open to registered members of CheersandGears.com. All of these ads, and many more, will be offered for sale in our coming online store.
  12. a tenant of mine had the frame replaced on his... the truck was never right after (though I'd argue that it wasn't right before the procedure either). He traded it in on a real truck... a 2013 Silverado.
  13. Did GMC use Fisher?
  14. Well, automatics aren't just faster 0-60, automatics can now shift gears faster than any human rowing his own. DCTs are even faster still. If you're just doing a 0-60 run, an automatic will also shift smarter than a human... getting the shift points right each and every time now that they are computer controlled.
  15. The Malibu is a failure because it is positively compact inside compared to the competition. The Sonata, Optima, Accord, and Passat are huge in the back. Numbers or not, the Malibu feels like the smallest car in the class. Even the Jetta feels roomier and the Cruze feels almost the same.
  16. But even your beloved MB, BMW, and Audi only do that once in a while. Most of the time it is 2+ years between body style releases. The last C-Class coupe took a loooong time to come out.
  17. GM unit sales are up 4.1% for the year and transaction prices are way up. GM and Cadillac are not going to be having a cash problem any time soon.
  18. I've seen all but #1 and #2 in the wild. Unless you count seeing #1 at the Saab booth at the auto show.
  19. It's purely a US thing though. It's available as a manual across the line in foreign markets.
  20. LOL! Have you seen the show? I LOVE the character.
  21. The ATS coupe is on sale now... I've driven it twice since July.
  22. I have some more of these around too
  23. There is no R&D to spend that isn't already spent. They already make the transmission and already build some trucks that way.
  24. When I'm not on my phone, I need to take a closer look at those numbers
  25. The numbers here don't look good for the BMW group... down 2.3% in an up economy?
