    If it's going to underpin a S-Series fighter for Cadillac it's just too big for an Opel... Anything significantly larger than today's Insignia is probably suicidal for Opel... Opel is going to need to move up to "Buick" level. It can no longer be the "Chevrolet of Europe" now that Chevrolet is there actively making a go at it. I'm not saying that Opel should build an S-Class sized car, but I would expect Omega (platform) to be equally as flexible as the Alpha platform, but with higher starting and ending points for size. If Omega starts at roughly 2014 CTS length, maybe... But then maybe it's best to build it on Alpha which I assume will a lower cost architecture?... Without knowing exactly what they are doing, one could guess that Omega is an Alpha variant that allows for greater wheelbase and track flexibility. With how solid Alpha is, I wouldn't be surprised if they simply beef up all the required parts for overall larger vehicles.

    My only concern with the 9-7x is how hard will it be to sell when it's time.... but at that price and those miles... it will be a long time before I'd need to, so I might not really lose all that much if I have to dump it cheap.

    The GMT360s are now on the list. I found a bunch of 9-7xes out there for cheap cheap cheap. One of them was $16,8 with only 33k.... V8, Navi, Leather, Heated Seats, Roof, AWD.

    Actually, he implies, without using the proper terminology, that the diesel engine was replaced with the DX block model which was at the tail end of the diesel builds and used (still today) in replacements of earlier diesel 350s. The DX block engine has all the bugs worked out of them and are dead reliable.

    The Olds Omega is coming back? LOL! What are you getting at? This will be the last large RWD GM is doing and as in I am Alpha and Omega the Beginning and the End? The next RWD platform from GM is called Omega to sit over top of Alpha . It will first go to Cadillac, but as a large and likely expensive platform, I would expect it to end up at Buick and Opel as well.

    Well that didn't take too long... Microsoft will reverse course on their DRM policies for Xbox One, dropping their 24-hour Internet check-in requirement and all restrictions on used games.

    I've been in enough Buick product presentations to know that Buick is specifically targeting young professionals (20-somethings who got their first "real" job out of college) and working Middle-agers who are now DINKs and are looking to downsize out of the Mini-van or full-size SUV. They are not going for the 80 y/os, they are not going for teenagers, they are not angling for Camry LE "Value" buyers. They are aiming for buyers who want a "luxury-like" car without the price, something just a little more special than the Toyota or Chevy they've been driving the past 7 years.

    Baby boomers wouldn't be caught dead in a Buick. They head straight to the Lexus dealer once the lease on their Camry LE is up.
