  1. Xtreme Sports on Dreamcast is the best drunken video game ever.
  2. Yet he's the candidate who understands what the "common man" is going through?
  3. Unless they can dump everything except Jeep, buying Chrysler would be a huge strain on GM. The only good that would come from it is that they'd pick up the idiots who buy Dodges so they can continue saying GM is the largest automaker in the world and get a decent bump in market share.
  4. Wasn't gas still over $3.50 nationally six weeks ago? It takes time to get the cars, test the cars, write the articles and print the magazines. Could they go from doing stuff 6 months out to doing it a month before it hits the news stands? Probably, but the logistics would be an absolute bitch and the reviews would suffer because they wouldn't be able to do nearly as much driving before the article had to be sent off to the printer.
  5. Doesn't matter in the least.
  6. And a Lexus, a Prius and a Beetle.
  7. That has got to be the worst place on earth.
  8. YAY!!! I get a free trip to Cincinnati!! I am sooo f@#king thrilled. Someone couldn't have f@#ked something up in Florida or California or Vegas, no they had to f@#k up in Cincinnati. Assholes. I'm pissed, be back in a couple days.
  9. Ok, blu, I just want to ask. Did you just essentially condone an assassination attempt on Obama (as well as the muder of numerous other African-American) by saying, "Well what did you expect?" Because thats almost what it sounds like.
  10. Basic economic principles dont stick.
  11. We're still happy with it, even if it is "only" getting 48mpg. Haven't had a problem yet.
  12. Why did anyone ever buy a Corvette over the Camaro when looking at the performance vs. price quotient?
  13. One thing I liked about Tim Russert was that he tried to hold politicians accountable for their words. I recall an interview with McCain in which Russert read a quote of McCain's about the U.S. not being in the business of nation building (in regards to Somalia) and asking him how Iraq was different. Good journalists are getting tough to find, we're getting more and more of these uninformed douchebags. Its terrible for democracy.
  14. That Wiki article is wrong, it says the U.S. has a functioning democracy. And that woman is pretty ridiculous, I dont blame Biden for looking pissed towards the end.
  15. If GM had come out with the Prius, you'd be humping it like crazy. The Volt is going to be a wonderful vehicle, but at the rumored price point, it wont be available to as many customers as the Prius.
  16. 68's definition is something along the lines of everyone who wants a brand new 750hp hardtop BOF Camaro, everyone else is disqualified. The Prius is an engineering marvel, and a commercial success. The Volt will be at least one of those things.
  17. Another random election tidbit (I'm bored): Obama won Nickelodeon's Kids Pick the President. The winner of KPP has wont eh election 4 of the 5 times its been done. The other time? Nickelodeon had Al Gore winning, since he did win the popular vote, I'm thinking that one should count as well.
  18. I have a feeling that after the G8 says bye-bye, Pontiac (in whatever form it lives) wont get anything larger than the G6. Buick and Cadillac can handle larger cars to compete with Lexus, Mercedes and BMW.
  19. Do any high schools offer world religion classes? I know just about every college does, but I'm not aware of any high schools that do.
  20. There has been a guy using a Model A as a daily driver for the last month or so.
  21. Its 2008, people dont buy new cars in 2008 because of a car they had in 1973, they buy a new car in 2008 because they need a new car in 2008 and will compare it against other new vehicles available in 2008. GM hasn't learned that consumers have adopted a "what have you done for me lately?" mentality. And your lack of new car purchases (both historically and in the future) makes you inconsequential to GM and all other automakers. So I'd say we're even.
  22. They've been doing a piss poor job of it. The only thing GM has done well over the last 20 years is trucks, and those sales cannot carry them anymore.
  23. Sure a Hemi is nice, but Jeep would be better served by selling a diesel Wrangler. Not as fast, but far more torque.
  24. Numbers dont lie. I'd rather see an all FWD boring GM that will still be around in 20 years than a bunch of "enthusiast" stuff that hasn't helped Pontiac (Solstice, GTO, G8) or Chrysler. Know what I see out of Toyota that I dont see out of the allmighty GM? Profits.
  25. When I was a freshman in high school, my bio teacher just said, "And Chapter (whatever chapter it was) is about evolution. We're not going to study that, but you can read it on your own."
