  1. CNN's Electoral Map Calculator is a great way to waste a Sunday afternoon. Just for kicks, I've been trying to find a way for McCain to win. He needs all the states they currently list as tossups (OH, NC, FL, MO, NV, CO) plus another 8 electoral votes. So he'd have to get the rural, Republican areas of either PA or VA to come out in numbers. Its getting a little late for McCain to come up with an actual message to sway voters. This whole Sarah Palin going rogue thing isn't going to help a whole lot. I get the feeling she's thinking more about 2012 or 2016 right now.
  2. The theory is that advertising the vehicles leads to more exposure and more sales. That would work potentially with Ford and Mercury, but Mitsubishi is a problem because of their limited dealer network.
  3. So the guy wanted sex and was denied, then thought his next best option would be to pee on the dog? Or he thought that if he peed on the dog, it would change her mind? Or that if he peed on the dog she would get some sort of message?

    Halloween

Rocky Horror is out because I have to be up early the next day, but I've got it all figured out. Two words: Sexy Hobo
  5. The LX cars didn't help Chrysler in the long term, but the atrocious Avenger and Sebring sealed the deal.
  6. Half the girls in my graduating class were either Jessica, Ashley or Melody. Weird, huh.
  7. We're doing some online, but other we're just getting now cause there are some toys for my son that I want to play with before he gets the chance to lose pieces.
  8. Yep, and thats why Toyota and Honda are in substantially better financial situations than GM and Ford, they did it better sooner. They can both afford failures (Tundra/Ridgline/Pilot) because the other stuff will prop them up. GM doesn't have the luxury of taking a risk, and they saw what happened to Chrysler after pouring assets into big RWD cars, they aren't going to take that same risk.
  9. Anyone driving more with gas falling? I'm not, and according to the (non-scientific) poll on CNN's website, neither are a lot of other people. We are using the LeSabre instead of the Prius for Christmas shopping because it will hold more.
  10. There are jobs in the midwest?
  11. You mean the '96 Impala SS that was discontinued? The LX cars aren't a sales success, no matter how much enthusiast appeal they may have, because they're not what car buyers want. Live with it.
  12. Say hello to my little friend
  13. Wow, coming back to reality for a minute. Its a sedan, 4-doors and all, not a "muscle car" nobody is going to cross shop a Charger and a Mustang or Camaro. They're going to cross shop a Charger and an Impala or Malibu or Taurus or Camry or Accord. And the Charger comes up short against those cars when it comes to rear headroom and rear access. This may not be true for you, but many people take into consideration the issues with installing a carseat, getting kids into said carseat and room for the kids when they grow up.
  14. The 300 had a sub-par interior, not enough power in base form and was too expensive in C form for it be a mainstream model. The Magnum was a wagon, they should have never had it be the only Dodge LX at the beginning, too niche. The Charger has the same rear headroom issue the Grand Prix has as a result of the roofline. Thats just Chrysler being Chrysler.
  15. :rotflmao: McCain's campaign is turning into a bigger joke everyday. I missed him on MTP this morning, but I'm sure it was fantastic. I'll try to catch it on MSNBC or get the podcast.
  16. While out car shopping tonight: A bunch of Wranglers (duh, thats what I was shopping for) ---A quick note on this; I need to get out of the habit of calling them "Jeeps" because anytime I would say "this lot doesn't have any Jeeps" my s.o. would reply, "Theres one right there" and point at a Grand Cherokee But other, more interesting sightings: Lexus IS300 SportCross (had to google it to find out what it was actually called) Volkswagen CC (pretty good looking, $28k sticker) Audi TT Cabrio (orgasmic if it weren't for...) Porsche 911 (White, gorgeous, I didn't want to leave its side)
  17. One station dropped to $1.99, I was excited, had to text all my friends.

  22. Loved it! One of Obama's door-to-door guys came by earlier, when I answered the door he asked if I was supporting Obama for president. I asked him if he walked up the driveway, he said yes. I asked if he noticed the Obama sticker on my car (which is in the middle of the driveway) or the Prius (in the garage, the door was open) which has about every psychotic liberal bumper sticker there is. He said no, he didn't, but he was glad we were supporters. Didn't seem to be the brightest, but at least he didn't paint a black eye and "M" on his cheek and say he was assaulted.

  24. Even though we're in a hiring freeze, my employer recently gave employees a look at their 4th quarter plan, which include more than double the advertising as last year and millions in in-store displays. Apparently out business model is something along the lines of "it takes money to make money even when people dont have money to spend."
  25. If you dont have time to read all that then you really need to pace yourself. Or get some Trojan Extended Pleasures.
