  1. When are some pics going to leak of the production convertible? Thats the one I'd be interested in, although by the time I get through law school the 5th gen will probably be discontinued due to poor sales stemming from the b-pillars.
  2. C&D invites new or substantially upgraded cars (and trucks for its 5-best trucks) as well as previous year's winners. Thats why the C5 was on their 10-best list every year. MT's TotY is interesting because there are only 5 real trucks out there (Silvy/Sierra/HDs/Avalanche, F-Series,Ram,Titan,Tundra) plus the midsizers (Colorado/Canyon, Ranger, Tacoma, Dakota, Frontier) plus the Accordvalanche, which hardly seems to count. Any given year only a couple of those are going to be all-new or significantly changed, so they have slim pickings.
  3. When I took the truck back, all the "Company Vehicle" parking spots were full, final count: 11 Tundras 2 Durangos 2 Silverados 1 Outlook and 1 Express I also know that we have at least one more Tundra and one FJ Cruiser but they for photo ops not for menial tasks.
  4. I was talking batteries, if you want to talk Porsches, how about the Boxster that requires removing the engine to give it a tune-up or do anything beyond an oil change?
  5. Wouldn't that require draining a person's blood?
  6. Bonnevilles had their batteries under the back seat, I'm sure other GMs do as well. Miatas had theirs mounted in the trunk. Nothing is worse than the f@#ktarded Dodge setup that required removing one of the wheels to access the battery through the wheel well.
  7. All your base are belong to us.
  8. I was drafted to move a very large item (think boat-sized and boat-shaped) yesterday but didn't do it, so I had to do it this morning. Obviously my Fusion isn't equipped to tow one of these so I had to borrow something. There is at least one Outlook in the fleet, but it was gone today, so I was left with either a Durango (ew!) or one of the dozen or moreTundras sitting there. I'll say this, the Tundra tows easily and rides very well with a trailer in tow.
  9. Thanks, that does make the point more clear.
  10. Religion has no place in government. End of story.
  11. <---pretty much the same way
  12. Explosion motor...sweet.
  13. NOS is back in the Camaro humping game? Sweet!

    This Morning

I was thinking NOS was going to tell us that he got hammered last night and woke up in a strange hotel room, then rushed to get a morning-after pill. Anyways, it has been nice having you back around, makes it seem a little more like the old days.
  15. You may think they f@#ked up, but they're going to sell every Camaro they can make, and make a nice little profit off each and every one.

    Lumina MPG

I get 28 in the Fusion, no matter what. 100% city driving, 28mpg. City/highway mix, 28mpg. Cruise set at 80 on highway, 28mpg. I confirmed that last one four different times (to Kansas City and back, to Jefferson City and back), I filled up and went on my way, then did the math.

  18. Last I knew, Skoda was owned by VW, and their models were typically larger in size than their VW counterparts while being less expensive. I like the design, other than the Milennia grille.
  19. Honestly not sure I'd take it, in H4 form, over a Wrangler.
  20. Yep, thats what we had go through the other night, going to be followed by crappy cold temps.

    Hello.

    I made poopie.
  22. The table dancing and drinking contest bans may stick, the "lewd music" part can be justified by existing "disturbing the peace" type laws, not sure how they plan to outlaw profane language without a fat lawsuit.
  23. In the short term, shutting down the IRS (and to a lesser extent D.O.E. as he advocates) would probably cause massive headaches, the government will always be the government, mistakes will be made, things will be overlooked. In the long term, the eliminating the IRS would probably be an excellent move for the country.
  24. Ron Paul releases earmarks (.pdf) Ron Paul voting record I didn't look at every earmark released, but those I did see (I scanned through) were to benefit his district. And he voted against (or abstained from) every spending bill he came across, so its safe to assume one or two of his earmarks made it into a bill he voted against, but passed the house. If there were more hours in the day, I would give you a House Resolution or two, but between a job, a kid and a life, I simply cannot research every piece of legislation. I'm not saying it makes him a bad guy, or a corrupt politician, just saying that he is a true politician, which goes against what a lot of Ron Paul supporters believe. Simply put, he is getting money that he doesn't believe the government should have back to his district while simultaneously voting against spending bills to maintain his record of wanting to eliminate government waste. He is getting good soundbites by saying the government needs to downsize while letting his House colleagues do the dirty work of approving money for him.
  25. Practice what you preach, thats all I'm saying. Other candidates have their moments of hypocrisy as well, I'm not going to deny that, just saying Paul would have a little more credibility in my eyes if he didn't take advantage of a flawed system that he wants to eliminate.
