  1. Profits and NEW car sales mean something to GM.
  2. The problem with that is that he would retaliate the same way, there would be a wang-off. There is nothing worse than a wang-war. He's out next Wednesday!!!
  3. $50/week over 8 years is about $20,000 and people apparently do this for fine used vehicles like Malibus and Tauruses. Guess if you're desperate, you'll do it.
  4. June at the earliest is what reports say. New kayak or new bike, I dunno yet.
  5. That reminds me of the "Bad Credit? No Credit?" used car lot that advertises 8-year loans on used cars. We're talking things like '97 RAV4s and '01 Tauruses. Their slogan is "Home of the Lifetime Customer." Well no $h!, if you lok someone up for 8 years at 17% you've pretty much got them for a lifetime.
  6. If it were something that I could buy, restore and make some money off of, I would be cleaning out a space in the garage, but I really doubt this will be on the auction black at Barret-Jackson and incite a bidding war.
  7. But its a V6. It will likely be smoked off the line by a Bluebird school bus.
  8. I had a friend whose house was foreclosed on a couple weeks ago and he has been crashing in my guest room since then. I would love to kick him out because he is really annoying, but he really doesn't have anywhere else to go. He's going to pay my utilities until he leaves, so thats nice, but I'd rather jsut pay it myself and be able to run across the house naked whenever I please.
  9. Just for the record, if you buy used, the $ stays in the U.S. especially if you buy private party.
  10. eBay posting Craigslist listing I'm not sure I'd call it a classic American muscle car, but its cheap and doesn't look horrible.
  11. Would anyone really have a hug problem with a remade Corvette in the mold of the Exige/Elise? Keep it FE/RWD, but make it smaller and lighter. Keep the V8, but make it as small and light as possible while using every available technology. The C6 weighs about 3200lbs, which isn't bad, but imagine 2700lbs or 2300lbs or hell, go for the gold and get it down to the 2000lbs of the Exige. With 350hp any of those would be absolute rockets.
  12. The Lotus Exige S does 0-60 in 4.1 with 220hp. Lotus also has a prototype Exige that runs on E85 and packs 260+hp and goes 0-60 in 3.8. Some people are just stuck on horsepower numbers, performance doesn't seem to really matter.
  13. Yep, those moments are the best. Alex is about 18 months now, he's doing the whole running around and getting into stuff thing, and sometimes he drives me crazy but I love him to death. His most recent thing is saying "whats that?" but it really sounds like he is saying "Oh snap!"

    HHHHHR SS

If you do that reg, you'd be taking a hit in interior space. Its not so much that the Fusion is small, but the 500 is huge inside. Its fine for 2 people plus a child seat easy, any more than that you probably dont want to be using it for a week-long vacation, especially if the people up front are long-legged, rear seat room gets a bit cramped. The trunk holds a pretty good amount too.
  15. Allright Z, update time. Make us even more jealous.
  16. The seller is probably right, its probably very rare. The only other ZR-1 on eBay is a 40th Anniversary model, I'm not too fond of the ruby paint and red interior of that one either. Give me red on black or black on black, please.
  17. Why would someone get such a hot car in such an awful color?
  18. 1990 Corvette I saw a C4 yesterday, somehow they keep getting more appealing. I would honestly take a C4 over a C5, at least if we're talking coupes.

    HHHHHR SS

For the HHR, they have regular for the 2.2, 91 octane for the 2.4 and no info for the SS. Edit: thats Chevys website.
  20. I cant wait until they hit the roads, just for the jokes when they get into accidents. I cannot even imagine how many "popped Chery" jokes there are going to be.
  21. Honestly, for what it is, its not bad. I'm sure the materials are horribly cheap, but its a $2500 car. They did a smart thing with the dash, its symmetrical, they can easily make it LHD or RHD. Its not worse than Chrysler's CCV concept from the late 90's, which didn't even have a fuel gauge, just three LEDs, all three lit meant a full tank, 2/3 lit meant half a tank, 1 lit meant empty. Brilliant in its simplicity, I guess.

Go for it 'blu. Its unlikely you'll regret it. SS>2LT>Cobalt Stupid gas prices ultimately killed the prospect of getting a Wrangler. My payments would have been about $50/month more (thats fine) and my insurance would have been roughly $30/month more (sucks, but whatever) but the killer was that I get 28mpg in the Fusion, its unlikely that I would get better than 14 regularly in a Wrangler. I can go a week on $40 of gas easily, over the course of a year doubling that would be killer, an extra $2k out of my pocket.
  23. No b-pillar! Glad they didn't wuss out.
  24. Pontiac is majorly in bed with the NCAA, there are Pontiac ads in stadiums, on tv and even in NCAA video games.
  25. I was referring to the apocalypse that FOG posted above.
