I'm just wondering why anyone would settle for a $45k/year job with little opportunity for advancement when a couple of years in school could potentially double your lifetime income. My girlfriend and I are going to combine for (depending on how bonuses, raises, etc. play out this year) between $65-$75k, neither of us work more than 40 hours a week, but the money can still be tight at times, which is why we're both working towards degrees that will make it possible for our combined incomes to go up.

Is that because you know its a hell of a lot more than you make and you'll never get that job? Face it, not having a degree limits how high up the chain you can go, and the cost of living isn't getting any lower. Higher education=higher pay=ability to cope with increasing prices of things like homes, cars, utilities, etc...

Can someone who cannot keep a car running, or drive one responsibly really say that somebody who needed a transportation device, bout one and keeps it serviced isn't an enthusiast? Trust me, if availability and interior room hadn't been an issue, I would have worked my way behind the wheel of a Mini, which I guess isn't an enthusiast ride. And if I do decide to upgrade anytime soon, it would be to something like an MB CLK, which I'm assuming is also not an enthusiasts ride. I know, maybe I can trade my Solara, with its midsize sedan interior room, excellent interior design and exocution, understated (not exciting, kinda bland) styling and smooth powerful V6 in for a 4th gen Camaro, with a V8, half the interior volume, mullet-me styling and higher insurance premiums. The car I drive is a function of my daily life, I got the car that does everything I need. Would I like something more "enthusiasty?" Sure, but only if it does all of the things I require from a car without breaking the bank. It sucks being grown up enough to realize that you cant always get what you want.And sophmoric is an awesome word.

Yep. I think the CTS looks great in that color, I've seen them sporadically on used car lots and very rarely on the roads. I think its a great stand-out color for a pretty good car with a stand-out design.
