Saturn to get new Vectra Wagon for '09
Aha, it would be the new one then. That's what I was thinking. Maybe instead of Opel Insignia we'll get an Opel Aura?

Daewoo GX2 American sports car now speaks Korean
I would guess it's the export sales (mainly Opel GT sales) that make the Sky's design profitable. Saturn sales alone wouldn't do it.

Where are the GM high mileage cars?
They're here in Europe, sold as diesel engined Opels: think Opel Corsa 1.3L diesel as an example. But that's just my European perception of what high mileage is. For your average US resident driving a Chevy Suburban, 30mpg is high mileage...

GM RWD on hold?!
I have a question: how is CAFE calculated? Is it an 'actual' versus 'benchmark' calculation?

GM RWD on hold?!
Maybe Mr. Bush really is serious about changing fuel economy regulations. That makes the small concepts they introduced much more of a priority than big V8 cars. Wouldn't a turbo or twin turbo 2.8 V6 make a nice engine for the RWD cars, though? Performance wouldn't be at "V8 enthusiast" levels, but it might help bring the larger cars to market while meeting fuel efficiency levels, no?

JEEP.....CHEROKEE?
No it's just that the 'Cherokee' brand has a following in Europe since the early/mid eighties, when it was powered by a small diesel engine, which IIRC was a Renault engine. You don't change brand names unless you intend to pursue a radical makeover (Grand Prix to G8 being a good example even if one doesn't like alphanumeric names).

Happy Easter to the members who celebrate it
Obrigado! Espero que o exame corra bem. I have done all the exercises during the course and now I'm trying to re-read everything, but I feel odd about it: like I'm unprepared. A Swedish friend of mine says I'm putting too much pressure on myself, trying to be above what is expected from a beginner... I think she's right, but I can't help it: I do tend to set the bar very high for myself. We'll see what happens :AH-HA_wink:

I hate spring weather
Well, spring weather allowed me to take a (quite) brisk 6Km walk this morning, so I think spring weather's been working for me. I do have to note that I'm accross the Atlantic from you guys, so the weather is quite different. Oh and seeing your avatar I have to say: Metallica rules, baby!

New Buick rear-driver coming to China, U.S.
Doesn't it make more sense to have the Park Avenue's successor replace both Park Avenue and Lucerne?

NYIAS: 2009 Ford Flex
I like it but it looks really long... have we become so accostumed to the more bulbous minivan-like styling that something station wagon-ish immediately evokes the 'really long' idea? I like the MINI-like contrasting colour roof. It looks very neat!
