  2. Congratulations, Lamar and family!

Thr rear bumper shape might increase insurance costs in NA, even though the piece between the tail lights and the rear bumer is most likely just a chunk of body colored plastic like the bumper. Hope GM offers the wagon, still.
  4. It would be interesting to see for sure.

Been around 100ºF around Andalucia and Extremadura (Spain), the places I'm spending this week and the next... Not exactly pleasant, but at least humidity has been fairly low.

I was overtaken by a black Audi Q3 (German plates) last night on the Spanish A66 as I was travelling to Sevilla. Looks like Audi is running its pre-production units in these roads on final validation tests. And Audi seems to like Andalucía a lot: July of last year I saw a camoed A7 that was most likely undergoing some hot weather testing.
  7. Happy Birthday!

  10. Why not sell it as a Buick close to MINI price points, since this Opel Junior will apparently be a very well appointed small car?
  11. ZL-1 replied to Hudson's topic in Cadillac
Since Hudson was trying to aim his initial post at Cadillac's exclusivity dying with the demise of the Northstar engine, let me quote my own reply to him at "that other GM forum":

I'm dying here over this supposed Cadillac death...
  13. I have odd neighbors upstairs; their kid is extremely noisy sometimes and they have this stupid cocker spaniel that likes to sharpen its claws on the kitchen floor...
  14. I know; but it WAS scary
  15. That Elantra coupe looks kinda nice, even wearing that refrigerator-color We are now getting the Genesis coupe here in Portugal: 2.0T only, starting at around 40K Euro (base BMW 120d price point, for comparison - ouch!). EDIT - IDK how the front end compares to the US model's; here's the link to the Portuguese pdf: Hyundai Genesis PDF (PT)
  16. After seeing a few of those on the road, I still don't like it, but it has credit for being different. Not different in a bad way as it isn't exactly ugly (it's more a love-or-hate styling IMHO), but plain different.
  17. Annoy your neighbors back by playing some Black Metal (may I suggest the band Morbid Angel?) bands very loud

Black convertible Aston Martin last night.
  19. Audi gained a lot of recognition for some 20 or 30 years while doing exactly that (in most cases even less than that, merely replicating VW's mechanicals). Lincoln needs consistency more than anything, and also to find a sweet spot in the market. I'd say somewhere between Buick and Cadillac, but closer to Cadillac in pricing.
  20. That's what will happen. But GM's Board needs to understand that the auto industry runs fairly long product cycles and that it takes time (often more than a single product cycle) to re-position a brand. Selling Opel is dumb and was only on the table to please or trick Ms. Angela I-will-do-anything-to-win-an-election Merkel.
