  1. What I'm getting sick and tired of hearing about is all this talk about fit and finish and panel gaps and the feel of the plastic on the dash of any car. The quality of materials in the G6 could be a bit better but I wouldn't say its bad. Get in my friends 92 Tercel and you will see a cheap crappy dash. When I'm in the market for a new car I don't check to see how the air vents feel when I turn them. I've been reading so much of this crap lately that's its actually gotten to me too! Now when I get in a new GM car I'm looking for the faults. But after going to Detroit last month and getting into a lot of the competitions cars I discovered most of them are not all they're cracked up to be.
  2. They haven't taken down the Olds sign yet? I would like to go to Michigan this summer for the dream cruise and maybe visit Lansing again.
  3. I been reading a lot about E85 the last few weeks. Autoline Detroit even did a show about GM's new E85 program. You can watch it if you go to Autoline Detroit's web site. Or check out GM's web site at livegreengoyellow that has links to other interesting sites.
  4. ''Honda, in particular, could see sales of its redesigned Civic up by 50 percent or more, and its Ridgeline pickup also is a strong seller, Murphy said.'' How could the Civic be up that much? Last February must of been a slow month for the Civic. The Ridgeline a strong seller? Since when does 4k-5k sales in a month constitute a strong seller.
  5. These trucks don't look that good. The styling is kind of plain, no V6, cheap interior, my 96 S10 LS looked a hell of a lot nicer than a Colorado does.
  6. Sounds good, let's wait and see. With all the negative news about GM I find it hard to believe that their sales are not tanking. When you make the cover of Fortune magazine and they declare you dead meat, how many business people would read that article and then go out and buy GM?
  7. A sad read. The same thing happened to lots of manufacturing towns not just auto towns. A lot of the blame goes to people on the 14th floor in the 70's and 80's because of their pig headed attutudes and refusal to take imports seriously.
  8. I never seen a transporter like that, what's the deal?
  9. I agree with all of your suggestions but we know none of the major ones will happen in 07. The SS wheels really suck.
  10. Oh yeh I'm serious.
  11. gear indicator on the floor console for sure, bigger mirrors, make the classy looking mags that come with the LTZ available on the LT, another interior color would be nice. Does anyone know if you can you get the neutral colored interior with the brushed aluminum trim (whatever they call it) on the dash? Whenever I see this interior color they always have the wood trim.
  12. That is ugly, there should be a law against that. The town car looks great but that was in style in those days.
  13. RIP. Now get back to work on building 1st class main stream cars that will sell instead of wasting money on niche vehicles like the GTO and SSR.
  14. As much as I'd like to see the Camaro on sale I know GM has a lot more important things to be working on besides a Camaro.
  15. That picture above is a real beauty, haven't seen one of thise in a long time. We had a 76 Vista Cruiser woodt wagon with a 350.It was great car.
  16. The article doesn't go into specifics but hopefully the transmission plant that's getting some cash will be for more production of the 6 speed automatics.
  17. I don't know what I was thinking when I typed my original message. I completely forgot the Solstice and Sky are RWD.
  18. Is Wilmington flexible enough to build FWD and RWD at the same time. I think they will dedicate one plant solely for production of the their upcoming RWD cars that will share a platform with the Camaro. My guess is Spring Hill since the Ion will die next year and they will have plenty of time to retool it for RWD.
  19. Take a look at the front again. It looks like the grill was an after thought and was just tacked on, look how far it sticks out from the lights.
  20. A Caddy from the front and a lot like a Altima/Maxima from the side.
  21. Exactly. Lowball your initial figures and if you beat them you look great
  22. I stopped buying mags about 5 years ago. I still look them over in the store but 90% of the time I've already seen what's in them. They're old news by the time they hit the news stand.
  23. This is not what GM needs now, this story is on the cover of next weeks Fortune magazine. The dirty laundry is hanging out for the world to see.
