  1. Ahhhh... the title of the thread. I get it now. O.B. was being funny/cryptic.
  2. Been there too... no biggie. Hope I did not come off condescending.
  3. I was going to say, Leno has the coolest TORONADO in the world.
  4. NO problem... my mouth dropped when I saw these photos: Pre-War Porn. Technically it's mono-shield porn. http://www.pbase.com/xl1ken/image/14297925 http://www.pbase.com/xl1ken/image/1587279
  5. Agreed. Sad but true! even thought it did not even have its own dealer network.
  6. Balthzar: Agreed, I was just throwing out random trivia. You know ME, I think that hardtops are WAY cooler (and more practical) than convertibles. There's not a hardtop out there (pillarless) that I would not take over its ragtop counterpart.
  7. Moltar: Yes of course... that's commonplace in F1 or classy cars. It's just that CF is still considered so exotic most people want to show it off... be it Chevy with the Corvette or BMW with the M-series cars.... or Ricers with their Civic.
  8. Yeah, that's a pretty poorly thought-out blanket statement. How the heck does a Pontiac-326/400/421/455/P-OHC-I6 powered car that shares nothing but the greenhouse w/ its Chevrolet cousin that is Chevrolet SBC/BBC/C-I6 powered all of a sudden even COMPARE to a typical modern badge-enginered car like a Cobalt/G5, Opel/Saturn or for that matter TSX/Euro-Accord or Lexus IS/Camry? The frames, suspension, rear ends, majority of sheetmetal, 99% of the INTERIORS and even bumpers were different.
  9. P.S. Carbon Fibre does not rust. That's HUGE.
  10. Hmmmm.... carbon fibre does have its uses. I don't think it going "mainstream" any time soon, not in the sense of common use on Corollas and Civics, but maybe some of the G35/328i/CTS product will see use in CF in the next few years.
  11. All joking aside, good luck with it... not my cup of tea but it's better than a Firefly.
  12. DOn;t do it!!!! nEW CARZ suck! ANd if you're going to have a car payment it might aS well be RWD!!>!
  13. Happy Birthday dude, I agree with Camino! Pearl Harbour/1970s... I use that quote all the time cause it's FFFing true.
  14. 1967 also happens to be the only year Pontiac made a Grand Prix ragtop. Ever. I personally love '67 Pontiacs.
  15. Great sourse for Buick porn: http://www.pbase.com/xl1ken/buick
  16. NINETEEN FIFTY NINE!
  17. You guys are killing me with with those wreck photos... crashed B59s and pre-war cars... Speaking of wrecked cars, here's an '80 Eldorado that got squished by a Chicago Transit Authority train in 1979. Ouch.
  18. See that's one of those weird things... I think the '75-'79 Seville is more bland than a bag of stale white bread. I would never go out of my way to buy one even if it was the particular one that D-Fan, JessiC & Tall Paul and I saw at the museum in Alabama which happened to be the last Cadillac (& car obviously) that Elvis ever purchased prior to his death. I just do not see much value in these Sevilles, the one thing they have over the way cooler '80-'85 Bustlebacks is that they are still RWD. I know a few on this forum think the retro-style Bustlebacks are ugly or worse but I absolutely LOVE them, I love the 1930s feel their lines have, esp. in profile and the very classy details that make them probably the most unique styled Cadillac made in my lifetime. I'll own a Bustleback someday, & I just might go all out & convert it to RWD, I've got about three different ideas as to how. Here's a few more Bustlebacks:
  19. Harley: Thank you sir... hope you're going to stay as a permanent addition to this forum. I too take a short term leave of absence for a short while when personal troubles arise, as I did recently with the death of a relative and job change but it's always fun to see the threads you cook up. GM is my first true Automotive love, even when I was just a kid living in then communist Slovakia & my dad was sending packages to me and my mom I'd be thrilled to get a HW car of some sort... and at least half the time they were GM classics like the V16 Cadillac that as a kid I just thought was a very cool classic. Here's some more Cadillacs from me:
  20. Cute... I'd love to go through the gears & pop her clutch! Whats up with the VW in the background though Seriously good luck with the H20 cooled VeeDuhb & the new squeeze.
  21. Hey dude... welcome back. I always loved hearing stories about your neck of the woods... Good luck with the Blazer, let's see some pics. soon.
  22. XP texted me yesterday while I was picking up a client at Logan and told me about this gem... (I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it ) 1937 Dodge, sitting for a couple decades but solid, original & intact. Extra parts too. $2800 FIRM The seller is not in a hurry to part with it ad on craigslist --------> http://boston.craigslist.org/bmw/car/674560587.html
  23. My mom is sacrificed a LOT for me. She is very old school. Loyal to a degree most of todays generation can not understand, selfLESS & 99 times out of a hundred has gone way above and beyond for me, & more recently her grandaughter Sofia. (I'm an only child) CARBIZ: Dude, your mom sounds like a character from an Alfred Hitchcock film... or Stephen King.
