My 4th Buick
yeah.... most days it is. As soon as I work my way up the UPS ladder I hope to get back to just one job.

My 4th Buick
Most days I work at UPS 3am - 9am, go home, shower, change & go deliver Chinese food for 4, 6 or 8 hours. Sleep, repeat.

My 4th Buick
yup.... a 1962 Buick Special four-door-sedan, V6 powered. I was focusing on buying a two or four door hardtop but this thing popped up for $1000 firm. It runs, drives, stops, has a mostly complete interior and the rust is supposedly not serious. I need to go take a look at it but if the description was honest in a couple weeks I just might buy a cute little surfboard-fendered baby sister for my angry fifty-nine. That's a WIN/WIN scenario, a real gorgeous classic car & decent fuel economy.

Had to use a company car this morning
An elephant pulls large loads well too, doesn't mean I want one $h!ting on my rug.

2009 Ram Revealed
Honestly... very boring. Looks like it could have come out in 1998, not 2008. Since the overall shape of a pickup truck can't be altered much since it's a case of form follows function, the headlights, taillights, greenhouse & grille should really give it some personality, this is just a mind refresh of the 2007 Ram... nothing exciting, nothing fresh. The new Silverado didn't excite me all that much in terms of styling but it seems the other manufacturers are making their pickups look so lame that in contrast the GMC & Chevy will become the best looking trucks by far.

Finally got my xmas present!
Wow, I've never even seen an electric cutout. Usually you see them in sick rat rods & they are activated by some lever hooked up to a jimmy-rigged shifter cable, or they're the kind you open & close manually with three screws like the SBC-powered '32 in American Graffity. Good for you, money well spent.

Who Wants To Help Me
Democrats think that the individual is stupid, but as a whole, collectivelly we make smarter better choices. (socialist mentality) They tend to be bleeding hearts and would like to help people but often times just do stupid $h! like insist that GUNS kill people and personal rights are less important than a safe government. ------ Republicans tend to think that as a whole, collectivelly our voice is watered down and diluted, as a mob-metality we make stupid choices, but the IDIVIDUAL tends to be smart and can make a better choice without peer pressure. However Republicans have thier problems, catering too much to big business and such... ------ I myself err on the side of Republican but Bush is one of the crappiest Republicans EVER. He is very un-Republican, esp. with his lack of respect for the constitution and individual liberties. I'm a libertarian, but saddly seems our $h!ty government is doomed (forced) into the REP/DEM duality, an independent no matter how smart or popular can't make a breakthrough...

TCC: Buick Riviera Concept Will Morph Into Next LaCrosse
3 side windows on each side + back-light = SEVEN dissapearing windows on a four door hardtop! Seven windows that all hide away in the sexy, sculpted bodywork and ZERO b-pillars. Explain to me again why it's TOO difficult to make a TWO door hardtop Camaro with 2 side windows & 2 baby 1/4 windows.

TCC: Buick Riviera Concept Will Morph Into Next LaCrosse
I love both the Chevrolet SS-sedan FOUR DOOR HARDTOP and the 2000 LaCrosse FOUR DOOR HARDTOP concepts were awsome, I just wish GM stopped teasing us, after all they can't even produce a TWO door production hardtop & they've never had a gull-wing door production car. I hate a c@ck tease. Either make the Riviera concept WITH gullwing doors or at least make it a true two door hardtop, how many sedans do we need? I wish today's Buick cars had the outrageous & stunning looks of a '39 Century, '71 Riviera or '59 E225.

Challanger Price Updated and it is More
PCS: Dude your Tick-tock joke is getting so old it gets a social security check. This has nothing to to with tick-tock, more just Chrysler being stupid, I may not buy a Camaro because of the b-pillar but even if this car was a hardtop I'd have no interest in the Challenger... I'd rather have a much nicer CLK500, that has twice the glass area in the greenhose and all four windows dissapear, makes the Challenger look like a base fox-body mustang notchback by comparison...

Disgusting, another reason I need to hoarde a bunch of classic GM cars, move to Maine, build a big cabin in the woods and live off the grid.

Front pic of new Camaro up
I like the lights on this better than the concept's... those looked a bit too pushed out to the edges, I love the '69 for it's big bold headlight and grille treatment, I hope they ephesize that. Everything looks fantastic: stance, fascia, proportions, mirrors... except for one FUGLY element and that's the gross, thick black frame on the rear windows where they're glued in like in any piece of $h! modern disposable car from the last 20 years... ruins the greenhouse for me, sorry GM... you'll have to do better than that to get a sale out of me: as soon as I get my black flat top '59 LeSabre four door hardtop I'm never going with fixed B-pillars again unless it's pre-war or costs $500. P.S. I MAY end up shooting myself in the foot here.... if the Camaro was to be offered with the upcoming baby-duramax turbo-diesel & a fully manual trans. I just might suck it up, buy one & do the convertible rear window/weatherstrip/regulator/assembly install.

My 4th Buick
I know EXACTLY what you're saying Balthazar... but one of the reasons it sucks living in the 21st century is that gas is tripple what is was, while wages haven't gone up hardly at all, & even the most basic of the carburated BIG cars gets somewhat expensive to drive when you're delivering chinese food in a poor town where people give you a $1.50 tip to drive 14 miles round trip. That, and a beat up and crappy example of a pre-plastic-orgy car such as a B-body from the late 60s or early 70s would set me back a cool grand for an example far less reliable & much more rusted/beat. In a perfect world I'd deliver chinese food in THIS: 1936 Buick Limited Series 90 Limousine! http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/car/532244537.html 13,500 for a grogeous, rare, PRE-WAR classic! How cool would it be to drive the wheels off that car and justify it as "I'm working..." ? --- Too bad this car is in need of $5,000 of work to be roadworthy, I've seen it before. http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/car/534543292.html $2100 for a '60 Bel Air two door HARDTOP: --- or if I had three.five K$ I'd buy this puppy and call it Clifford. http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/car/535023467.html 1977 Buick Electra TWO DOOR --- This one looks cool, but $2800 for a lowly Skylark? http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/car/534550749.html 1977 Skylark ----> --- That being said I had a hard enough of a time convincing my wife that a big V8 tank with the looks of a Grampa car was a good choice for our next vehicle when she's thinkning "maximum fuel economy" as in... if my balls were in her purse like so many guys today I'd be driving a VW Golf or perhaps something even more horrific like a Hyundai hatch! So you see this is MY version of a modern car... this is about as modern as I want to go right now, given lower gas prices I;d be rocking a beater '61 Caddy bubbletop or perhaps a late '60s Cutlass hardtop. BUT..... Here's the kicker, I'm trying to get Julie to warm up to the Roadmaster and I'll be installiung an MP3-compatible CD in it to that end, so that I can buy a car off craigslist that has been making me drool for two weeks now. I'll give you TWO hints: - I consider this one to the THE 2nd coolest post-WWII Buick design (B-59 being the first) - It's barelly younger than my LeSabre - Metal Dash, chrome bumpers - Gets almost as good fuel economy as the Roadmaster if not possibly better - NOT a body on frame car - Uses one of Buick's oldest & most endearing names - when new it was MT's car of the year That's about as easy as trivia gets, stay tunned because as soon as the Mercedes sells there's a very good chance that we will have an ALL Buick fleet.

Lumina MPG
I'm hoping for 18 average in the Roadmaster, my Fleetwood Brougham averaged that. The Datsun only averaged 20-21mpg this winter because I was delivering Chinese Food with it and that little inline-six was too small to stay warm so I alsmost never shut the damn car off, even between deliveries, the Roadmaster's 5.7 puts out enough heat to flame broil whoppers on the heatercore. Gotta love B-bodys.

The Best Camaro Picture so Far
true to concept means TRUE, close or almost the same thing.... A two door sedan and a two door hardtop are NOT even CLOSE!!! Why do you think GM apologized about it? They know they f@#ked up.

Thanks PCS, that makes me drooooooool, someday I gotta step up to an LT-1 Fleetwood Brougham!
