Well geeze, I guess I'm no longer the virgin/nerd I was back in college. Now that I read this thread I guess I should include my cigar habbit.

Because I'd rather not see 33% of what's left of the American Automotive Industry go down the toilet. I'd much rather see Toyota/Lex/Sci, HondAcura, Mitshubishi, Kia/Hyundai & VW all go out of Business than to loose Mopar. Oldsmoboi's last point is 75% of the reason WHY I feel that way. FLY: You think the Liberty Patriot & Caliber have redeming value but the Charger, Magnum & 300 do not matter?!?!?! :blink:

Yes... too much overlap. Way too much. Jeep vs. Hummer is a BIG rivlary these days. I certainly do not see them merging... but I guess stranger things have happened I suppose. It would be almost as weird as a GM-Ford partnership.

Just like the original it will be much lower volume than the Camaro, never mind the Mustang.

Skodas from the 60s & 70s were a lot less crappy than a typical econobox from behind the iron curtain from that era, say what you will but they made some really interesting cars back in the day... rear engined, RWD & super space efficient while easy to work on. Even though the motors are transverse mounted they were very accesible and esay to work on. Honestly what would you rather have? Skoda? or a Trabant? Wartburg? Volga? Yugo? or perhaps a Zastava? Yeah...

Skodas sucked for one reason and one reason ONLY: COMMUNISM. Pre WWII CzechoSlovakian cars, weapons and other technology were not only world class but in many cases futuristic and cutting edge at the same time. The Communist concept of no competition & a complete lack of outside influence or regulation was a pretty bad way to run an automotive company. The communist way of doing things was such a flippin joke anything and everything was done with bribes and plentiful stupidity.

That should result in an automatic loss of license for AT LEAST a year. My car is messy at times but this is just beyond mess... the interior is a damn dumpster. I do not find it surprising at all she crahed her car as a result of a jammed gas pedal... but how about the lack or rear visibility with all that garbage in the way?
