  1. All the best on your Birthday CadV... thanks for the compliments on my '59 Flxible Buick Sig. You too 004-Monte!
  2. Way cooler than my first vehicle!
  3. WMJ's up to 5 points now, Fly's still kicking everyone's a$$!
  4. Agreed. NASCAR stopped being cool in the late 80s, if not mid 7os.
  5. In the next few weeks I'm going to post 59 different trivia questions of all different forms on C&G. Multiple choice, photo identification, photo match up & even some true or false. Some questions will be multiple part and others a simple one word answer. At the end of the 59 individual trivia thread questions all the winners will be added up and a trophy will be mailed via the USPS to the over all winner of the first annual Tight Whips Trivia Trophy. Best of luck to all, I encourage everyone to participate. -------------------- Current Score: Fly: 10 Yellow_Dart: 5 WMJ: 4 Chevelle7.4L: 3 Balthazar: 2 OldsGuy: 2 American_Revolution2005: 1 T.W.T.T. Thread #28 Which one of these was NOT a car featured on tonight's episode of PINKS on Speed Channel? 1. 1968 Pontiac Firebird 2. 1984 Ford Mustang 3. 2002 Chevrolet Camaro ---------- *All model years estimated (9:00pm Eastern)
  6. Yeah... I'm not f*cking some RWD V8 powered GM car project out of money at GM, I'm just making sure that fat cats in fancy suits do not charge off massages with happy endings & $200 bottles of wine. But yeah, I guess I'm back in the white collar rat race again.
  7. Rice happens, even to poor little CzechoSlovakian cars.... That's 10 points for Fly.
  8. I like the way you think, if only in theory. Welcome to C&G.
  9. Yeah, yesterday my Infiniti was parked between a late 90s Camry (w/ rear door delete) and a spankin new BMW 540i, but soon enough after I do the brake job on the Datsun I'll be runnin' the little Maxima for commuting reasons. Today I'm borrowing XP's marvelous 1977 Oldsmobile Cutty Sprm. so that Marcia can have the flagship whip. Should be a fun time parking that between two yuppie wagons in the fadded orange-burgundy metallic Red Dragon.
  10. One of the most beautiful designs of the past 30 years. Instant classic. The rest of the Alfa lineup is a complete waste of time after this. I think this looks like a good alternative to a Ferrari.
  11. Nope... not quite my Comrade.
  12. I think we should launch a counter attack... The Crown Victoria should compete in the Japanese Drifting Championships next year.
  13. You've posted this response to me like 2o times now. I don't live in the prarie states or in Florida. Come to Massachusetts someday, esp. towns like Lowell, Worcester & Haverhill and you tell me how "flat" it is. The roads I drive are only flat if compared to the freekin' Alps.
  14. Today, my second day at work, I already befriended the official "car guy" at work. He's got a 1975 Corvette ragtop & his "baby" is a 1967 Pontiac LeMans. Boo-Yeah!

Thread #27 Name this car and tell us some basics about it. Era, very basic engine specs. & short history.
  16. Balthazar almost got it too... he was very close. Here's the next question: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=11853 ------------------

Thread #26 Name the car: - Two seater compact - Motor displaces 80 cubic inches - 16.6 gallon fuel tank - Forced Induction - 182 horsepower @ 6500rpm
  18. THAT'S THE ONE!
  19. A not-so Mini Mini.... stupid. This is like a "extra short wheelbase" Cadillac Escalade for ease of parking in the city, defeats the purpose of the whole original concept.
  20. Saddly, Ihave to agree with Harley to some degree... Many laughed at the 1950s Datsuns & Toyopets.
  21. My life as of late has been such that I do not need another argument. I have driven NOTHING but RWD cars in the past 6 winters and I never had an accident because of RWD. I did almost stuff the STS (FWD) into a snowbank & guardrail because of blizzard conditions on a sketchy back woods road in the middle fo a bad snow storm... the car responded beautifuly and saved the day, same as I'm sure the 2009 Camaro will when I drive that year round. For what it's worth I was goign about 20mph when the stablilitrack activated and at 30mph I would have not had a chance even with studded tires. Speed is a HUGE factor. Oldsmoboi said it all....
  22. NOS: That was Audrey... she's Marcia's best friend of 20+ years. She asked me for a ride in the Camaro and about three minutes into it said (and I quote) "Fast muscle cars make me soooo wet". She even said that at high RPM the car shook like a giant, well... you know. She's a flirt but it was nothing inappropriate. Well, what I mean is it was just a comment. we didn't act on it. WMJ: I'm a Level 1 Accountant. I'm the last line of defense to make sure that executives & such are not using company money for personal meals &/or abusing limo services and such. They still abuse their corporate card at times but it has to stay within the "rules" of the game. It's more thrilling than that Movie Office Space.
  23. Cool. Welcome to the sanitarium.
  24. Baaaaaaaaam! Seven minutes, pretty good Balthy.

Thread #25 If you ordered this particular 'factory racing equiptment for the street' option for a certain F-body it was not installed on the car but rather the 'stock' part was installed on the car while the optional part was placed in the trunk for the owner to install. Criptic, maybe.
