  1. Oh sure... there's absolutely no ignorant white people out there. Most of the english speaking people out there make a mistake in gramar like this once in a while. It's usually a librarian or some English teacher to remind us of it.

    OMFG

In the Automotive (dealer) industry we say "There's an a$$ for every seat" This car might be the one to prove that proverb to be incorrect. If there's a person outside the original owner & customizer that likes this thing I'd be shocked.
  3. Voted: "Have a sunroof - like it - works well" I use the sunroof in the Q45 on regular occasion. It works well 99% of the time. The '97 STS was my first car with a sunroof and shortly after I got it the novelty wore off. What made me dislike sunroofs slightly was that around 130,000 miles the STS developed a annoying and painful sounding grinding noise when the sunroof would open. Also it's been misaligned when closed for a while. Worse than anything is the super annoying non-intuitive switch on the STS. FWD and transverse motor aside this was my the biggest annoyance with that car. You'd have to let go at the -P-R-E-C-I-S-E- second so that the roof would stay closed and NOT open up in tilt mode. I can't believe I still own that car. First person with $1500 can have the damn thing. It's got 145,00o miles on it and pisses out oil like a faucet. Still it will do the 1/4 in 14.9.
  4. Talk about dropping a BOMB on you... Geezus. I'm thinknig you shoud get a paternity test either way.
  5. anyone... anyone... Beuler... Beuler... Beuler... Beuler...
  6. BTW: It's Silvester. Normally outside of Europe it's Sylvester instead of with an i but where's the o coming from? Not that it matters much but I find it odd.
  7. I know for a fact that LordStafford left mostly becasue of a couple of individuals who have already posted in this thread. O.B. know's what I'm talking about. Lord Stafford was another true car fanatic who had much to contribute but was called stupid & told that he was living in the past just because he was a fan of RWD V8 powered BOF land yachts. Nevermind his beater was a Taurus (V6, FWD, unibody) and the car he bought just before he left was a Lincoln MKVIII. Once certain people think you fit a stereotype you are locked forever as a "____". That's very sad.
  8. Yes... if by "truck" you mean a Vespa Scooter with a Radio Wagon duct taped to the rear of it. Or one of these hilarions clown cars:
  9. Probably some 325cc motor in a boat made in France or something.
  10. Does not fit the technical definition of the question but the 1963 Corvette (split-window) coupe was a one year only design. the 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass 2-door had a one year only nose, different from 1979 & 1981.
  11. So is this the part in the thread where I tell you to go roll your Fusion into a ditch while delivering pizza? You had NO contribution to this thread... NONE! So why the hell did you post here? Just to be a prick? Your opinions of cars are juvenile, your enthusiasm for cars is minimal and you try to act like you have some sort of significant contribution when most of the time you're useless. If I wanted to cut you down I'd say you're a f##king pizza delivery boy! Jesus you're a complete twit. You know what I think of you? You're a worthless piece of white trash with low self esteem and so you project these qualities onto others and make fun of kids who drive 1985 IROC-Zs to make yourself feel better about how your only accomplishment in life has been to total a Camry (with rear door delete) while delivering pizza. You're the comic relief here... you have a funny one liner occasionally other than that I can't even remember the last time you had a serious post that included a valid opinion (non-mullet/white-trash-related) about the automotive world. So now you know what I think of YOU. I'll just pretend you don't exist and you do vice-versa.
  12. Yeah... you're a "nobody" alright.
  13. Yeah.. it's all relative. Just like the term "classic car" has been dragged through the mud. By the technical definition of a "classic car" a 1964.5 Mustang will never be one. It's as mass produced and non-spectacular as a 1960s car gets. On the other hand a 1958 Imperial LeBaron two door is very much a classic.
  14. For what it's worth: Here's a comparison of VWs from the 1930s all the way to 2002. Sure the windshield & rear window(s) got bigger and the blinkers moved around but a front fender, door, wheel or bumper still bolts on regardless of how silly it would look. And here's some photos from a 2002 VW Sedan (Beetle) Brochure.
  15. The last of the classic Beetles were not assembled using standard torq screws & sheetrock nails... tools are tools. Notice the simple external hinges on the doors, the hood, motor, suspension, trans. interior, wheels, fenders & side glass... they're all interchangable. If not directly then with very nimor modifgication. Show me a 1950s era Beetle and I'll show you a 2002 Beetle with 5-mph bumer delete, a smaller 2-piece rear window design a less evolved motor design, the lack of an AM-FM-stereo, smaller taillights, blinkers and bias ply tires oen simpler wheels. Now you show me ONE friggin thing that's interchangable between these 1960s-2000s Toyota Corollas... Why do we have to argue over such petty technicalities? The Beetle is basically the same damn car from 1946 - 2002. The Corolla has evolved as much as the Impala has in its lifetime.
  16. 1901. It was patented by Ransom E. Olds for manufacture of Oldsmobiles. or as they were called then: Olds Motor Vehicles.
  17. That's because the 300C & Charger are wiping the floor with them. nOtice the only significant differences... Their motor is not transversely mounted & it happens to send power to the rear wheels unlike the now-lame W-body. Owning a 1997 STS for a few years has taught me a few things, one of them being that a 300 horsepower FWD car is useless like Sparrow with a broken wing.
  18. Cadillac is the standard of the world in many ways... and there's no replacement for displacement. The enormeous 500, just like the 472 & 425 suffer from breathing problems. Tey make good horsepower & torque numbers and all but they have the potential to make a LOT more with the right intake, carb and exhausts, not to mention heads. The lower-longer-wider styling of the 60s and 70s meant that the hood gave little clearance for the ideal intake manifold design. Even the air cleaners on 8.2 and 7.7 V8s is ridiculous. It's the size and height of something you'd expect on a Hyundai Pony, not a car wiht 5 times the displacement and double the cylinders.
  19. Sorry to hear that Mute, I know what you mean though. P.S. You'll always be an honorary member of T1G#+ VV#!P$
  20. Nope... not Duesenberg, not Auburn... It was a RWD car but it was based on a FWD one.
  21. Yeah... so good luck with that.
  22. No... you misunderstood. 1985 WAS the last year of the lenghtwise mounted motors in the Riviera. Question no. 3 is incorrect. It's not Auburn.
  23. I've grown to dislike T-tops & the thick B-pillar of the 2/3/4 gen cars. The first gen was perfect and as time went along the cars "lost their way". Hardtops retain a lot more structural ridgidity than T-tops if all other things are equal. I'd love to see the Black one produced as a kit car of sorts. Call it a "Phoenix" or "Bandit" kit car and sell us all the crap we need for the ocnversion.
  24. I'm sure it's possible but it'd only be worh the money if you were slightly deranged, had $2000 burning a hole through your pocket and the truck already had a turbo 4.3 in it.
  25. It's a manual & it's RWD... you did better than most kids do in a pinch when the need wheels for minimal dollar$.
