  1. I have to re-do my list of favorite cars from the past 100 years again. It's been a year and my tastes have evolved exponentially.
  2. It absolutely was true, and yes, yes they do.Now, have any insight as to how the inverse regarding power windows may be true today? 164331[/snapback] I'm also curious. The math does not jive... regulator + motor + window =/= less weight than JUST a regulator & window. If this was the case I'm sure the Lotus Elise would not have been offered with crank windows to save weight for so long.
  3. I respect these cars for being GM and by extension for providing good reliable transportation in many cases, that having been said the W bodys were NEVER, are not now & will NEVER BE adequate replacements for the RWD G-bodys, nevermind B-bodys! The W body represents a lot of what has gone wrong with GM in the past two decades. Sorry to be a wet blanket but that's my honest opinion.
  4. I'm with Bobo... these cars are different in a quirky & unique way. I'd love a Opera coupe, any opera coupe... but O.B. has the right idea in terms of 1980-85 Seville custonization. Even a healthy Chevy smallblock would liven up whit car's performance if it was to send power to a soild rear axle. Not hard to improve on a diesel rocket or a 4100.
  5. Hey buddy... good to hear you're back! Look for my post of a couople hundred or so cars from the past few big events here in New England. First off the 2006 Worcester Summer Nationals (last week), the car show at Kimbals' Ice Cream, (last thrursday), Skip's Famous Burger's (yesterday) & today's Dedham Carshow at the Endicott Estate which will be starting in about 2 hours here at 7:00am. I have pictures of some very rare & gorgeous Classic American Cars to show you guys and the summer is still young. IN OTHER NEWS: Tight Whips is in full effect!
  6. Happy Birthday guys! Here's some eye candy for each one of you. Camino CaddyKing TED
  7. Key word: touchless... After avoiding them for like a half decade I tried a local drive-thru carwash again recently with the Q45... the car got so freekin' scratched up I can't even tell you. There must have been a pound of sand trapped in those bristles. When it comes to washing my car it's the "do-it-yourself variety". As far as banking & food however my lifestyle does not allow for anything other than drive-thru. Untill you've taken a two year old out of a baby-seat & then put her back into it 15 minutes later at a local crowded Wendy's parking lot just to try to save a minute or two you have no idea how cool a drive-thru can be.
  8. IS that thing a hardtop??? Sure looks liek the rear window rolls down.
  9. Don't know about you guys but I'm pitchin' a tent... in my pants. Hay Jada: make a #$&@%ing Cadillac SIXTEEN already.
  10. Wow... great post MM. Many gorgeous cars... incl. that red Malibu. 5th photo down: I know that's a Chevette with a smallblock conversion but is it also a "Scooter"?
  11. Must... not give in... to the evil... of... FWD. All joking aside that is one hot lookign little compact car. Thanks for sharing. They should have a stock SS/SC in F&F IV and it should eat all those ricers alive! (well all the FWD Civics & Integras anyway)
  12. Dude, it's July 8th why are you reminding us of snow?...
  13. The manufacturer still sells cars here but it's been renamed since 1961... just like they still make Maximas but not DATSUN Maximas. There's a link between this import car and the No. 1 import car in the USA in 1961.
  14. Wow... there's a handfull of FWD cars that do not suck. The 67-69 Eldorado is absolutely one of them.

    X-4... damn I forgot that.
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1982-CADILL...sspagenameZWDVW FWD sucks but Bustle Back Sevilles (1980-1985) are one of the dozen or so exceptions to the rule. I'd love to own an all original diesel Bustle Back with the Olds Oil Burner Rocket 350. That in mind I was just goofing around online when I found this opera coupe on eBay.
  17. Are you effin' kidding dude??? I can't go a week without getting my order f#%@ed up at McDonalds, Wendys or B.K. I do not eat Tomatoes... love onions but seem to get the opposite 25% of the time.
  18. Good point, it's available so I can... but if I was going to spend the money for my own domain it would be something even cooler than that and easier to remember. I have a few ideas kicking around for my own website. DETROITSTEAL.com (since I dabble in "budget" American cars)
  19. For all I know this might be a 3.5... but that would be retarded. If I was a cop I'd rather have a Crown Vic. then a V6 Charger, I'm not expecting Police departments to buy SRT8 6.2 liter HEMIs but the 3.5 is a little silly. I guess I shouldn;t have assumed that it was a HEMI...

  24. Citroen built THEIR first FWD car in 1934.... THE first FWD car was built long before that. One of the first notable ones was the 1929 Cord L29. Is this a retractable convertible hardtop or a true hardtop with no B-pillar but a fixed roof?
