There's two people on this site that I'm "not fond of" and they both know who they are. Neither one of them is Fly or Josh. I've had my disagrements with Fly but Josh and him are both okay in my book. I'm sorry to hear of this negativity and hope we can overcome it. Of the half dozen forums I frequent on the net this is BY FAR my favorite. Heck, like I mentioned once before about 70% of my internet time is spent on C&G.
2. So far so good.
3. I want to do this sometime in the next few years. It seems like so much fun... almost as much retarded stupidity as the Demolition derby. I've been interested in the Flugtag for a while but a commercial the otehr day piqued my interest and I finaly checked ot the website. http://www.redbullflugtagusa.com/ Also check out the game they have on the website, my personal best so far is 99.743. I keep getting 80s and 70s now and can NOT seem to break the 3-digit mark. http://www.redbullflugtagusa.com/Game/
4. I'd rathere have a RWD old Plymouth FireArrow than a newer Mitsubishi with FWD... even though they both have the Red diamonds stamped everywhere. WMJ: That Olds 88 Wagon Hardtop you posted is just devine! Nothing like a hardtop wagon form the 50s. Now if someone would expost some musical notes on the quarter panel....
5. Hyundai Tiburon
6. Why does hand signal guy have a Lemon shaped head?
7. YES< YES & YES!!! The '57 Chevy idea is something every car nut has thought of at some point... replace '57 Chevy w/ 1955 Porsche 550 spyder or '69 Camaro or 1958 Plymouth Fury etc and you have a winning idea too. This is why they already sell Porsche, Cobra, '32 Ford, Willys & more recently '69 Camaro kit cars. Car that are timeless can and will be copied and redone in a retro fashion for years to come. I'd buy a Challenger in a heartbeat... if the Camaro was not already even better looking that it and made by GM. IF I was not such a rabid Camaro fan I might actaully like the Challenger better... who knows.
8. True... Where can I whore myself out for that kind of money? I'll sleep with a few Butter faced broads for a lot less than that. Give me a house for $400,000, a brand new CTS-V, a 1959 Buick Electra 225 Riviera, 1932 Cadillac V16 Dual Cowl Phaeton, 1969 Camaro HT, 1964 Oldsmobile Starfire 4dr HT & a 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 455. That should be well under a million $ and yet I'll be happy as pigs in $hit. siegen: I was stunned at the article not the law suit. It's nice to have a person tell it like it is about these nose in the air, our $hit don;t stink companies. And since when is a thread ANYWHERE on C&G or any article anywhere on the net not full of sarcasm?
9. Looks like something that would compete with a Yaris. I'd rather have a fit instead. J/K
10. No red in the photo.... =/= GMC. How about a Nissan Silvia?
11. DEATH TO THE INFIDELS!!! *I love de Cah-maroh con-cipt itz very gud kar to bee making by GM soon for to be.*
12. Wheel bearing on No.1?
13. Well... the beauty of the USA is that we have the right to drive a Yukon XL or Cadillac EXT weather we need to or not. Freedom is a beautiful thing. I just hate FWD (or FWD-biased AWD) unibody vans that pretend to be trucks. Plus all of the above are ugly as sin and the polar opposite of form follows function.
14. I think every one except for Osama Bin Ladin has said "BUILD IT", waht else is there to discuss GM... do it and do it ASAP.
15. Please god NO!!!
16. A manual transmission means it has a clutch pedal... like the one on the floor of my Datsun. And to answer your question YES I would much prefer a 5/6 speed manual in a full size car as well as a sports car. Mule13: A lot of $h!ty things happened to domestics shortly after 1971, no excuse for mediocrity and lack of choice. My idea of a perfect Zeta-Pala would be with a bench seat & 6-on-the-floor with a big V8 & posi.
17. Nice Riviera. I've always liked the styling of this gen. Even though it's FWD at least the motor is mounted the correct way. (longitudenally) The nose is this car's best styling feature but the profile is not half bad either... esp. in your shot.
18. I've had this idea for a while kicking around in my head. I think it could be the "next big thing" if executed correctly: A store... an Anti-Wal*Mart of sorts. Everything there would be made in the USA. That's really the only rule. It's a pie-in-the-sky idea but so was Apple computers in the 1970s.
19. If a Camaro (or any Chevy for that matter) ever wears the ZL1 emblem again it better damn well be LS7 powered. That's the very definition of ZL1. 427 cubich inches, all aluminum motor & no nonsense pushrod design. I'd love to see a "value-package" base V8 with none of the toys, power options and such, a modern day Road Runner of sorts. The 5.3 would be great but the 4.8 would be fine too.
20. Nice sig... 572 ramjet?
21. I'm not a fan of Honda... everyone here knows that but I think the Insight had some redeming value. It was honest and true to concept. Except for maybe the EV1 the Insight is one of the best tree-hugger approved personal transports. It had a mission statement and it fufilled it, which is a lot more than I can say for most of the Hondas from the last decade or so... even the Accord & Civic have been sucking more than average as of late. I'd much rather see a ton of Insights on the road versus the Element, Pilot, MDX & Ridgeline.
22. Agreed Ven, but more importantly Cadillac has to produce a ture to life SIXTEEN, that is the one sure way to show the world Gm is going to clean house and make Cadillac the TRUE standard of the world again. The SIXTEEN if it reaches production will make Bentleys & R.R.s look like Ford Crown Vics by comparison. At that point Caddy will be competing more with Maybach & even Bugatti than Lexus & Benz... at least in perception.
