  2. The CTS is too Big? It's a BMW 3-series sized car... and a luxury brand should not make a smaller car than that IMO.... Cadillac's role in the GM lineup certainly should NOT be to make cheap, FWD narrow cars. That's what Opel and recently introduced Chevrolet is for in Europe. Well, I'm not going to change your minds and vice-versa certainly will not happen either so I'll just quit now.
  3. You are a strange kid BV....

  5. Love that H.O. This car speaks to me... I love it. Even for 1937 it's very unique. 1937 Bizzare but very interesting.... I'd love to own this Caddy! NOt as much as I'd love a V16 though. 1938 Another rare classic.... that grille is so unconformist, I love it! 1939
  6. BV: Are you talking about the Grand Am??? My Datsun's factory power steering pump was made in the USA (GM made actually) and a few of the things I've replaced are fromt he USA as well as my Cadillac STS 3rd brake light... ALthough the tuneup consisted of Bosch plugs/wires etc. (Germany) ONe of the best Camaro Concept sigs yet! (ChrisPauwels)
  7. Whhy do wie neeed a feautre like tihs? I thuink tha tit's not neccessary.
  8. Okay... that makes a lot of sense actually. Now how about censoring Scion? Like I said I'd loev to see people type "Scion" and it come out Sky-on, $C!@# or "Tercel II" Just me thiking out loud.

  10. To be honest if I had not read multiple "we need to bring this to the USA" responses about this car in the past few months I would have probably left this thread alone. I think it's a very bad idea to brign this to our shores... and even in other markets it's a sad state of affairs when this si the car that Cadillac will be judged by. Next to a Mercedes and/or BMW it will be a pathetic and soul-less product that willm just ruin Cadillac's standard of the world rep. like Packard's image was ruined with the Studebaker rebadges in the 1950s. The diesle powerplant is a great idea for Europe but makes even more sense in the CTS chassis. WTF develop a car the size and price fo the CTS if only ot make it inferior to the CTS???? Becasue it's another example of GM trying to squeeze blood out of a Rock wiht the SAAB factory/deal, that's what it comes down to... this is a BuLi$h! product that does not have much basis for existance, adapting the CTS to diesel and RHD makes much more sense and if GM just got the F*** rid of SAAB already we could stop hemhoraging cash in stupid ventures like this. Why not spend the money it took to develop this car to improve the CTS and adapt it to the EUro market? There I said it. I know SAAB is GM but to be honest I would have dumped it like a rock and kept Subaru instead. And THAT is another reason why I despise this product. It's lame for many other reasons but it really is the C1marron of the 21st century. It should not even exist and yet it does.
  11. Still much cooler than most of the rice on the streets of my town. First off the craftsmanship is not horrible, actually it seems to be a pretty well assembled car. (from the small photo) The kid started out with something that will not be worthless in ten years unlike most of this Honda/Kia/Toyota/Mitsubishi rice.
  12. My favorite Studebakers from this era are the "Starlight Coupes" That wrap around rear window is devine! But pretty much any Bullet nose Studie is cool. Love that Airplane inspired styling. Now as far as the one youy posted it looks as if it has been sitting in that field since the Nixon Administration. Probably a lot of Rot and missing pieces on that one.
  13. How come Cimaron is censored on this site but Scion is not???? Shoulld it not be setup so that Scion turns into "Tercel II" when typed in the forum?
  14. Althought that's funny becasue I know the background info and such, even as a collective of multiple posters posing as WPBH, it comes off as a child molestor. That is why no one misses Harry, the real member or otherwise. Yes, AAS has a point Harley has ben absent which is a shame!
  15. Fly: The Ecotech, for one thing was in the Europe powering the Astra logn before the Cadaver & Grand Am got it.... The BLS mechanicals do not impress me at all. It's a step in the wrond direction IMHO, SAAB is not my idea of Luxur anyway... it's my idea of a Quirky Europan car that profesors drive. Not all SAABs are bad but most are overpriced and underwhelming. Sorry, but that's my :twocents: As soon as you sotp taking the Jerk Pills I shall comply.
  16. Cadillac (saw a 1971 SDV the otehr day with the Deluxe paisley cloth interior)

    Dear I.R.S.

So very true... I'll send them two 4'x8' slabs of 1/2" thick steel... you know so that our men in Iraq do not have to make their wifes widows when their fibreglass HUmvee drives over a land mine or throught a combat zone. I think Soldiers deserve armored vehicles more so than most Celebrities, don;t you?
  18. All I'm saying (in essence) is that it takes more than mouse-fur visors, super-decked out dashboard and the US media's sucking up to sell a car for $170,000. That's ten times the cost of typical Scion. Better have some serious performance to back it up since the Lexus name is not THAT high end yet. (I hear you though Moltar) siegen: I may suck at spelling but I think 97% of enthusiats agree that the Corvette Zo6 is the best performance car value at ANY price. It's like some kind of VooDoo how this car can pull off David & Goliath style defeats.
  19. 1982 J-body = todays Cobalt by extension the Cobalt has a lot of Opel in it and therefore vice versa in a manner of speaking.... The fact that the BulL$h! is a "better" car than the C!marron is only because todays cars are better NOT becuase the BLS is any more distanced or upscale from the top of ther line Cobalt versus the top of the line 1982 Cavalier in the C;marron';s case. In other words in todays Mostly-RWD Caddy lineup the BLS is just as much of a pathetic wannabe as the FWD C|marron was in the 1982 Caddy lineup, which was (unfortunately) primarily FWD and therfoer they at least had an excuse to use FWD... althought it was a lame one! Longwinded and convoluted but it's a very valid point if you think about it. THe BLS is a waste of time... it's more inferior to the CTS than the J-body attempt at an entry-level luxury car was to the Bustle back Seville in the early 80s, and even more so the super-compact 84-up Sevillle.
  20. Love the vanity plate frame! I've seen that exact "make-your-own" one at the Local AutoZone. So how's some details on the motor... did you really drop in a turbocharged engine inot that little doorstop?
  21. This is the perfect Oldsmobile pair right here.... My favorite Olds is any 60s Cutlass/442. And outside of those 60s classics, esp. the Muscle cars & hardtops I think the last real Oldsmobile was the G-body Cutlass that was killed so cruelly & without logical reason in 1988.
  22. Hmmm... ABS is a great option and I pretty much foprgot it's not standard anymore. I'll have to think that over but it's probably worht it to pay the extra... *chekgin website* damnit how muhc extra does ABS cost? In any case here's ANOTHER reason why the Cobalt is better than most POS Japanese econoboxes like Civic, Lancer, Protege & Corolla. (blue highlight) Just one question thought.... WTF is a "Semi-Independent" rear suspension? I had (incorrectly) assumed the Cobalt had whishbones in the rear.... this is dissapointing.
  23. Excuses, excuses.... I love how the Corvette is eating other "supercar's" lunches. If they make a GT front engined GT-style car called NSX then HOnda is evenj dumber than I thought. As far as Lexus going after Aston Martin, that's posible but just as laughable.
  24. So is the curent gen. Camry... by your definition. The GTO's getting overhauled and redesigned. Check the other threads. It's only dead like the Camaro was there for a few years. The enthusiasts know the new one is just around the corner. The point is that Pontiac, wiht or without cladding has something Toyota's not had in years: excciting product. And I'm not talking pocket-protector and scientific calculator exciting like the underwhelming Prius, I mean GTO, Solstice & a couple of sleek sedans.
  25. This car is gross. It looks like someone stretched the nose of a CTS on photoshop without any clue as to aesthetic proportions or a sense of balance. The whole damn thing si guly and ungainly, every line is "off" or "unbalanced" somehow and the nose is almost cantelevered in a most horrible way. Of course worst of all the SAAB/Opel mechanicals and FWD are unexceptable! Tie me up and pour hot molten lead down my throat I still say it's NOTHING more than a 21st century version of the C1marron.
