  1. It was a response to my signature. I had rotated photos of several 50s/60s GM cars (see below) in my sig for a couple weeks with this text underneath the photo: Let's start a petition for GM to bring back Hardtop Coupes and Sedans. Then some smart a$$ prompted me to change it to "pillarless" hardtop and then Croc made up this silly SSR signature and argued it was a pillarless hardtop even thougth it has only one piece of glass on each side of the greenhouse, how the hell would there be a pillar to begin with? Then when I mentioned it was a BOF truck not a car he said the SSR is more of a "sports car." I had this one cut down a bit.... one of my favorite Google finds as of late.
  2. Overall this new LS is like a D+ IMHO. The chrome trim aroud the greenhouse fro profile looks good and I love those rims but other than that the car is seriously bland and fugly. ZA few elements like the grille and headlights have a very "Hyundai" element to them.
  3. "What de f**k is superimposed?" :P -A. Sandler (as the Goat)
  4. If this is for real then we're dealing wiht a revolution here folks. As my buddy said the other day: It seems the Bush Energy Policy consists of: "I'm goign to need you guys to go ahead and drive less..." <_<
  5. LMAFO! Whistler: wouldn't this be a good LSD trip.. I mean a bad trip I would think is if you plucked your eyeballs out wiht a spork or jumped off an overpass and ended up on the grille of a Mack truck. A somewhat bad trip would be punching your buddy out cause you think he's a Gremlin, a not so bad trip would be if you tore up your Newsweek magazineds cause you KNOW they were conspiring against you wiht the Gophers in the walls.... seeing a city made of jello and backlit to look funky would seem pretty cool to me. :P
  6. I love the "do not copy" print on the photo... if you read the story it come off even more idsturbing and bizzare that this retard is trying to sell this. It's like I prayed to god to show me his face and he did... after I loked at three dozen photos I foudn his face and God said onto me: "Go forth and be prosperous upon eBay, for it is thy will to be looked onto as a lunatic!" :P
  7. WMJ: Tht's hillarious and scary at the same time.

*Thinks for a minute* Instead of proving how crappy & over rated Japanese cars are I think it's more beneficial and logical to prove to the world that GM makes great cars & trucks and for the money there is no better value. Negative campaigning will just turn ugly.
  9. Sorry dude, I like Ford and all but I'm a GM guy first and foremost. I check MySpace like twice a month... I don;t even keep up[ wiht my email on a regular basis any more. I'm on this site more than any other.
  10. That's exactly waht I was about to post... This thing is freekn awsome. To quote the nerd fomr F&F: "This will decimate all!" :)
  11. Fly: you nailed it. Fugly and ubber 80s but still a REAL benz. The one I'm going to take a look at in the next few days is an '83 turbo diesel wiht 280K miles. Te guy who's seling it is asking $980 but he seems pretty cool over the phone, we're both eastern european and he outright told me the price was negotiable. It's supposedly comsmetically cahellenged but in good mechanical shape. Needs nothing. Can't beat that deal. The only crappy thing is that it's an automatic. :( I'm just a bit bored and want a change for a while... in a year or less I'll sell the Benz and end up with a '87 Grand Prix or '81 Delta 88 or some other such weird car.
  12. I'm with Mustang84, except for the Explorer/Mountaineer. The quality, durability and ride of these trucks is gawd-awful. Having been a Chevy Salesman for a few years I can tel you all kinds of horror storys wiht traded in Exploders. Every singel one is a squeeky, ill handeling (for a truck I'm not comparing Apples to Oragnes) and porly made POS. The tranies suck and break more often than not and the V6 ones have no balls and yet still manage to be gas hogs... everyone I've ever know who had an Explorer hads tranny problems, complained about gas milage compared to their old Blazer or just all out hated it wiht a passion.
  13. Quad round tatil lights are older than ther Cobalt, Ferrari & not to mention Corvette.

HAven't I been saying exactly this. There's a 1984 Corolla in the Want Ad right now for like $700. If I wanted a fuel efficient Toyota I'd get THAT not some POS Echo or Prius. God this is funny.
  15. either as shot of a concept/redline Sky or a Colorado SS butt. I don;t know I'm shooting frm the hip... this is a pretty vague photo.
  16. Oh yes, we have plenty of those here in N.E. too. Or some retard trying to sell a car without a title for KBB value. You try to expalin to him that the lack of ownership documentation makes it nearly worthless and you'll give him $1300 for his '86 Firebird but he thinks you're an @sshole.
  17. - Monty Python & the Holly Grail - Gladiator - SAW (can't wait to see the 2nd one) - Caddy Shack - Gone in 60sec. (original & remake) - Tin Men
  18. There's a guy here in Mass trying to sell a 1986 Fiero with high miles for like $6000. There was some funny misprint in the ad but I forget what... I believe it said 2.8 liter V8 or something silly like that.
  19. The C5 Corvette managed to stun everyojne when it came out. Even an optimistic wide eyed but naive kid like myself was not dissapointed at the '97 Vette. Such optimistic years. I was still trying to justify how the hell the freekin Lumina could possibly be the premium sedan form Chevy... a new Caprice Classic HAD to be just around the corner, right? In the mean time our beloved F-bodys were alive and well.... I had that Trans Am WS6 ad on my bedroom wall that said "Visceral Reality". I was going to own one someday..... still willl, but it'll probably be an LS1 versus an LT1.
  20. I'd rather have snow than two weeks of rain. Not one totally dry day since the firsst week of Oct. In the past month we must have had 30" of rain or something crazy like that. Freekin sick of it. Sick to death. The driveway's flooded, the lawn is a swamp.... everythign's freekin wet.

  22. Still a drop in the porverbial bucket. Ever seen an F15 fly overhead? Tat sucker dumps out more emissions in 20 seconds than my Camaro wiht no cats does in a years worth of driving. New US spec. emissions control Cars are NOT the problem anymore. A 2000 Impala polutes less at idle in your driveway than a 1961 Impala parked in your driveway wiht the engine OFF! Seriously. The Chevy Rep. told us this statistis when the new 2000 Impalas were introduced. Snif the tail pipe of a new Silverado or Corvette... it's mostly freekin condensation and carbon dioxide these days... no gas smell, no gross soot... clean is the definition of new USA legal cars.
  23. I'm sure it's coming, it will be worth the wait. The first Saturn that's worth any kind of wait.... althought the redline Quad coupe was kind of cool for a while there.
  24. Agreed. I'm prettty sure the 3800 has the potential to make 280 or so HP in NA form wiht just a thorough overhaul. Hae the LS-engine engineers do a re-work of the heads, exhaust system & intake and it should be ther no problem. Plus... torque numbers are always impressive on the 3800 even when HP is not. Yes... Kappa is the way to go if you ask me... a modern Skylark compact coupe & sedan. I hope so.

I bet it will get like 0.75 mpg more than the standard Tundra... or perhaps even 1.25 mpg more. SO worht the $6000 extra maintenance costs for 5 years/100K miles and not to mention the extra $8000 in initial cost.
