  1. You're not taking your son trick-or-treating?
  2. There's NO acceptable reason, (even if gas stayed at $3.50+/gallon) to have a Camaro without a V8. This is more knee-jerk stupidity. No V8 option? not a Camaro FWD? not a Camaro! transverse motor? NOT a Camaro! I think I've made myself clear.
  3. About once a year, usually late at night in dim lit convenience store east of the good side of the tracks, I fond myself buying a package of "Twinkies", then I consume them and promise myself NEVER AGAIN! /repeat
  4. soooooo, waas it the economy or not?
  5. Except for your apathy over B-pillar your taste in cars is great IMHO. too new and too gadget-centric, but otherwise you can def. call yourself an enthusiast. I live and bleed GM, but the 5.0 Mustang was a legend in it's own time, many BMWs are the same.
  6. Back in high school, 1993-1997, I used to think the Roadmaster sedan was ugly, with it's narrow, plain, wide tail lights & what seemed to be an angry, inverted mouth. Now I love those styling features, although I still would love to own a Impala SS instead but for the money I paid for my '92 B-body even a base Caprice would have been a steal. The one thing that turns me off from some of the Roadmaster sedans is the vinyl , padded 1/4 roof....it's cheesy and ugly & too grandpa for grandpa. I'm glad I got a steel roof sedan, my old LT1 powered Roadmaster Estate had more power and much better acceleration but I don't like the very plain Jane grille on the estates. Oldsmoboi's phantom R-monster was a car I had envisioned putting together for years! And as far as the spotlights, your question was not stupid...
  7. Question#5: 1. 1959 (hardtop) gotta love those bat wings! http://www.chevroletimpalas.com/post-15953-1143397942.jpg 2. 1961 (2 or 4 door hardtop) http://images.superchevy.com/features/impa...r_side_view.jpg 3. 1965 (2-door fastback HARDTOP) http://www.55-57chevys.com/coccc/articles/646/img/65a5.jpg
  8. way better idea than lambada, but the Escalade has always been BOF.... 'aint broke, don't fix it!
  9. Good job, now do something with yourself. How's the H20 cooled, wrong drive KdF been for ya?
  10. I'll be really specific: Billy Joel's "Big Shot" (horrible fu*king song!!!) Van Halens' "Panama" 1. I never was a big fan 2. It gets overplayed here in Boston a LOT 3. Gran Turismo 2 had it on it's soundtrack I beat that game like a rented mule.... I set up my '69 Camaro Z/28-RS to such a high degree of near-perfection that I kicked Race-spec. Skyline & Supra TT's a$es with it, I probably racked up thousand races over the years & that means like 100 or 120 times I listened to that dumb song. it got to the point where I'd listen to PF or Metallica o my Cd player while I muted the game's soundtrack. ---- MOST OF ALL: ANYTHING & EVERYTHING with "Sean Paul"
  11. It started as a joke.... they used to ride on top of SpeedingPenguins' (you might remember him as the guy with the gray/silver '81 Malibu, although he's never around here) 1988 Jeep Comanche 5-speed. When he sold the truck he saved a bunch of stuff off of it and left it in the barn I was renting at the time, later he told me to keep or sell the stuff and so I said I'd make a 9C1 Roadmaster out of my '92 Buick... they're not swiveling spotlights but most people don't know the difference anyway. Of course I didn't expect anyone to really think my B-body with a waterfall Buick grille is a Chevy Caprice or a cop car in general... esp with the faded paint and all but since I also installed the larger push bar style, "kustom, hand machined" bumperettes ($15 worth of pipe & hardware from Home Depot) you'd be surprised how many people move right out of the ("fast") passing lane and or yield to me. Ive even had a few people ask if it was a cop car or ex-cruiser.
  12. The J-cars were a Joke, but sadly the FWD-is-the-silver-bullet mentality of the 1980s is still with GM, amongst a lot of other backwards thinking and poor decision making. Agreed. Strange that you say that, being such a masochist otherwise.
  13. Personally I think the Escalade should stay BOF and RWD. Otherwise never speak the name or put it on a vehicle again. Either kill the Escalade or KEEP/redesign it... don't emasculate yet ANOTHER legendary name.
  14. Oh maaaaan, thanx Paolino... now I'm craving one of those disgusting sugar-cream filled plastic sponges.
  15. I've drank probably two or three liters of Kool-Aid all together in my entire life. When I was a kid drank nothing but water 99% of the time. These days I seem to consume enough Coke (not Pepsi), Dr.Peppper and Moxie like they're going out of style... and I'm still pissed about the discontinuation of Coke w.Lime.
  16. Stink Ray is right. or maybe Marko Salk
  17. Born in 1979, but ignorant of history I am NOT.
  18. Who cares, his payments went DOWN with a reasonable down payment.
  19. Congrats, god job giving GM another new car sale. Personally I think the GMC was waaay cooler but I'm th last person in the world to lecture about keeping a car long term... I change them up like laundry. He gave a great reason... the rear spoiler is tacky and robbs MPGs. Also the "grille" could only work worse if GM duct tapped it on, and I prefer the Chevy's trademark tail lights to Pontiac's generic ones. P.S. you really are a d!ckhead you know.
  20. Pretty sure he's the only human ever to excel in all three of those: - acting - race car driving - philanthropy
  21. Agreed with Balthazar about the awkward B-pillar and bedside rake, (still better than the Honda Ridgeline though) Just like the Coupe deVille Camins and Caddy Estates/Vista Cruisers, this has seen some exposure on here before.
  22. My spotlights alone must rob the car of 1 mpg....
  23. Balthy makes a compelling point ...of course I agree. YJ: Amen. Still a RWD-Kappa 4-seater would be awesome, esp. with the appropriate signature Pontiac styling, a manual trans would be a must and so would a sub-25K price.
  24. Go $%#& yourself.
  25. R.I.P. to a gentleman and a scholar. Sounds like something I'd do if I was a millionare.
