Is Oldsmobile back?

Featured Replies

So, now that I am a "product specialist" for Jeep, I get people asking me lost of stuff about Jeeps and it's a lot of fun. I really realize how much stuff there is to remember about all the different models.

But today, I had a lady come up to me and ask me where the Oldsmobile display was at. I was kinda taken aback and I wanted to tell here that it didn't exist anymore, but I just pointed her in the direction of the GM display.

:cutlass:

About how old was the lady, CK? Just wondering.

im guessing in her 60s..... she didn't seem all there. But I saw a Saturn brochure today and it is totally Oldsmobile now.... its sad they couldn't keep the name.

This reminds of me of comments I heard at the local auto show last Spring...I was looking at the GTO and a woman asked her male friend 'What's a Pontiac?'...he said 'Some kind of Dodge, I think..'...talk about being out of touch...

 funny

"Chrysler is owned by GM."

Came from the same kid who's parents own a HEMI-packing Chrysler Town & Country.

Somehow start a "companion brand program" and make Oldsmobile be the companion brand of Saturn. Then let it slowly take over. :D

Yeahhhh... kinda like LaSalle did for Cadillac! Oh, wait... :AH-HA_wink:

But hey, it worked for Pontiac. :P

People are so out of touch...my friend thought Acura was a model and that the PT Cruiser was its own brand. My aunt didn't know plymouth was dead.
