One word: Badass.

There was a '79 Electra sedan in the GS club that was turning 11s, IIRC- looked bone stock on the outside except for tires.

A fleet of cars like that would be just soooo awesome for filming a car chase scene if you could paint them in Black and white and put lights on them....

Seriously...like Darylo said....badass...

Very cool.. I love those late '70s-80s B-bodies also..great potential to build 'sleeper' cars.

I wonder what country that is... doesn't look like North America. Also, the speedo looks like km/h, so they're not really going that fast.

It's certainly quick... but I don't like that they used the same footage over and over.

There are so many of these old B-bods in the 11s and 10s that its no longer that unusual.

LOVE. IT. Shame it's over there.

When I worked at the GM dealership in MD, some Middle Eastern guys used to ride through very slowly from time to time, looking to buy Chevy B-bodies to ship over there. Scary stuff. They were aggressive about it, too. I told them to get lost.

Might have been there since new. The Middle East has long been a major market outside NA for large American cars... there were tons of B-bodies in Riyadh and Kuwait City when I was there briefly as a kid in '79.

Duh. Everybody saw the pictures of burned-out Caprices en masse after the Iraq-Kuwait conflict back in the day, it was THE most popular car over there because of its ruggedness, simplicity, and excellent HVAC system. The Caprice name remains a best-seller over there to this day, as a Zeta.

I kind of want to do that now.
