Almost everyone in interviewed in this video is full of fail and is a walking stereotype.

Things aren't going rosy red with my Camaro, as I've made vocal elsewhere, and this video now makes me feel ashamed in addition to being already irritated.

"Carolina Chevy Dealers" using local owners to endorse their product, hmmm... sounds totally out of line. What's the problem? Just the Southern accents? This is clearly a regional piece. The people viewing this in its original context prolly all talk that way.

I wonder if "Bahhston Area Chevy Dealers" or "Minnesohhhhda Area Chevy Dealers" '94 Camaro promo vid would have been viewed differently by those seeking to self-fulfill a prophecy?

I liked the vid. the people where REAL it was about performance not a fluff piece. The accents were refreshing we in this country do sound different and I did pick up on the English Accent also so they where only local owners anyway.

I liked the vid. the people where REAL it was about performance not a fluff piece. The accents were refreshing we in this country do sound different and I did pick up on the English Accent also so they where only local owners anyway.

It has nothing to do with the accents for me. It has more to do with the amateurish style of the advertisement. Typically, endorsements sound like a natural thought coming from a prominent figure. These guys all sound like a first-grader reading from a chalk board. Bad writing and bad acting. I can't believe anyone even paid someone to put this together.

Ain't nothing wrong with it, son.

But come on. With someone spouting off such exaggerated phrases like "Makes me feel like I'm in a jet cockpit when I'm drivin'!" referring to what appears to be a 3.4L Camaro in the most ridiculous redneck voice I have ever heard this side of an episode of Squidbillies, it has the word "stereotype" written all over it.

I could care less this came from North Carolina, too. I've seen dealer-funded adverts from other southern states and if the dealership does interview previous prospects, there isn't a soul that talks like Festes from fucking Bonanza. I live in a state notorious for rednecks, no one talks with such a ridiculous accent like that. That guy was like an extra from Deliverance. I wonder why he didn't mention he likes to make his car squeal like a pig.

Oh jeez. Thankfully momma only visually remembered Camaro's from the 60's & 70's and then the new '10 when she wanted one. The hee-haw in between, she barely even recognizes, oddly.

Funny stuff though...cringe funny...but funny...
