avro206 1 Posted August 31, 2005 First of all----glad to see Cheers and Gears back! Best car forum! Heres my 06 2.4L SS coupe. The colour is granite blue and you can't get that on US SS Cobalts. My first new car too! No pricey options---just the way I would have ordered it. Keeps the payments lower! Used 1500 GM pionts and $1000 from Car Heaven (GM sponsored program to get old cars off the road) And of course the 5 speed. The 2.4L is a very impressive engine. Smooth with all right right sounds. Makes very good low end torque. Just got over 800kms on it and have been babying it. Just starting to open her up a bit now. The build qaulity and interior are great. And the the 5 speed is the BEST fwd manual trans I have ever driven. Perfect shifts and launches are childs play. Way to go GM! Hopefully i can keep the Firebird! Just got a new cam/intake--and she has a real mean idle now!

bobo 103 Posted August 31, 2005 The Cobalt looks great. I hope you have many fun miles in it. And the Firebird still looks great too.
Northstar 11 Posted August 31, 2005 I really like that color on the Cobalt. It's on the Silverado for 06 and on the STS and CTS too. If I was buying right now I'd definetly consider that color.
Cory Wolfe 288 5 Vehicles Posted August 31, 2005 Looks good... I love the color. B)

Dsuupr 12 Posted September 3, 2005 Beautiful pick. Now if only I could have talked my wife into the SS.
NOS2006 11 Posted September 3, 2005 I hate that color simply because my asshole boss has a G6 sedan of that color and it looks terrible...
mustang84 12 Posted September 3, 2005 Nice Cobalt SS and F'bird. GM did a great job with that car...it's one of the few small cars I would consider buying. Good to see you're happy with it.
capriceman 0 Posted September 4, 2005 take it easy cuz a guy down my street has a saturn ion redline and after 1500 miles he need new tires! so if i was you leave some tread! but then a gain i just didnt pay alot for a new car
GMTruckGuy74 228 Posted September 14, 2005 Love the color! Damn GMNA... always thinking all sport cars have to be red, black, white, or silver!!!
HarleyEarl 1 Posted September 14, 2005 I hope that color is optional on a lot of other GM cars as well. It's subtle, but not too much so....love it.

z28luvr01 170 Posted September 15, 2005 They got the stance on the non-supercharged SS just right. Sportier than the base/LS/LT, yet more subdued than the SS/SC. I love it, and am seriously mulling over getting the SS kit for my car.
Sixty8panther 14 Posted September 15, 2005 Awsome Cobalt. Great stealthy color. I'd never get rid of the Firebird if it was me. Maybe for a 2006 GTO or CTS-V I'd consider it, but never for a Cobalt.
