Mini has given the green light to a production version of the Mini Paceman concept shown at this years North American International Auto Show. The conformation comes from Mini's chief Kay Segler. The Paceman is a three door version of the Mini Countryman and both will share architecture and powertrain. The Paceman could have a different name, but will carry the same design as the concept. If your interested in the Paceman, you'll have to wait till either 2013 or 2014.

If they bring the Paceman out, then they will have 7 bodystyles... (hatch, cabrio, 2 seat coupe, 2 seat roadster (coming), Clubman, Countryman, Paceman..)

There are a few bodystyles the original Mini had that they haven't done yet--the Mini van and pickup, the Moke.

I'm happy any time a new 2-door vehicle comes to market. It looks good. Does this mean the new tiny Jeep will have a 2-door bodystyle as well?

I do like that a new two door vehicle came to market...
